This one was so dumb and yet, so fun lol.

Danishprince

Haven't watched this one since release as it didn't appeal to me that much but I'm excited to rewatch it with you and see how you'll like it ! :D

Darryl Low

What a great way to end the week. Thanks Nat 💛

This is my fave of the “Cornetto Trilogy.” Can’t wait to watch this reaction after work.

Ian

Completing the cornetto trilogy 🍦 looking forward to getting home and watching along 💛

Randee Carreno

Movie downloading to watch tonight. 😊 I've never seen this movie. So, it'll be a first time watch for me as well. Looking forward to watching this one along with your reaction. Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Tay Schumaker

Glad to see you close out the trilogy. Again, if you haven’t seen Baby Driver I highly recommend it. Edgar Wright takes his stylized editing and use of music to a whole new level. It’s such a fun movie, think you would enjoy it with your background in film/tv.

Andy Crawley

Definitely watch Baby Driver, you’ll be in editing and sound design heaven!

Tiger Chu

Oh nice. Didn't expect to see this so soon. My 2nd favorite of the trilogy

Andy Crawley

Also, the whole story of this was semi-autobiographical, Simon Pegg was using this film to try and bring light to his struggles with alcoholism and addiction in real life, which were coming to a head a few years before they made this, funnily enough around 2006-2007, when they made Hot Fuzz. I really enjoy this one because as well as being just a lot of stupid fun, it’s quite dark and personal for him too.

john collins

I can't find this film anywhere on the streaming sites i have and i don't think i'm gonna pay the $10 for this one haha I'm excited to watch it on youtube though

Edward Olson

It's $3.99 on Amazon Video. Or spend $14.99 and get the whole trilogy on Blu-Ray!

Calo Grsf

Finally some laughter! 😆 So pleasant to end the week with this little surprise and to see the pleasure you gave off during the movie, your laugh is so communicative haha I hope you're doing well, stay golden! 😁

This_Jedi_crafts

This was so much fun. I had no clue about this film (nor that it was directed by the same artist who did Scott Pilgrim). What a great take on sort of reverse-Invasion of the Body Snatchers/ returning the world to the Dark Ages- the themes seemed really relevant and yet delivered with a great sense of humor.

Ian

that was fantastic it truly was such a good reaction you sure had fun with this nat i laughed my ass off a lot along with you :) nick frost fought well indeed he also stars in into the badlands where he does a fair bit of martial arts fighting . i recommend googleing the worlds end golden mile vs real life its interesting reading about all the pubs for example one of them only serves beer and ice-cream lol what a combo love it :) ty for a wonderful week of content nat have a lovely weekend and stay golden

Kelvin

So glad you saw this so soon! I really like this movie because of the emotional core to it, especially with the last fight at the World's End. It really comes together at the end. Sad, but also sweet in its own way, and a lot of interconnecting tissue with the other films of the trilogy. Just a good film.

Luis Torrefranca

Speaking of ruining a real estate sale, adding "Grosse Pointe Blank" to the list.

Baron

Basil is played by David Bradley who does play Filch in the Harry Potter movies you were correct, he is also in Game Of Thrones, and he was the guy with all the guns in Hot Fuzz who had a thick accent. Any way thank you for the great reaction.

Sorry I'm just piling on here - but you should consider "Paul" as a epilogue of sorts. Still Peg and Frost starring but Wright didn't direct. I still got the same vibe from it as these 3 movies. Cheers!

Luis Torrefranca

Soooo, about this *not* being an apocalyptic movie...

Darryl Low

That was a really fun movie to watch with you Nat, after all the heavy stuff of late. Always good to come back into the light every once in a while and have a good laugh 💛 Minted means that someone is wealthy or rich. Or if somebody says "That watch is minted", it means it's expensive. It's so funny when Sam uses "crumbs" as her expletive. Other classic words are blimey, crikey, or you can extend it to crikey o'reilly! ha ha School is out. Have a great weekend Nat 😊

Ken W

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned under the other posts, but with you really enjoying these Edgar Wright movies you should consider adding Baby Driver to your list. That's a great one, and very "slick" in how it is edited / soundtrack-ed. Plus it's just a fun movie.

I love seeing how versatile Simon Pegg & Nick Frost are through the trilogy. Followed by them both playing "geeky" in Paul. Martin Freeman (Oman) also pops up in the MCU. You may have missed him in civil war. You'll see him again when you get to Black Panther. Have a good weekend Nat. Love your content.

Richard Ryan

Where can I stream it from?

I didn't catch it the first time I watched it but it is implied that Gary tried to kill himself just before the events of the movie. That's why his wrists are wrapped up when we see them at The World's End pub and why he didn't want want to show his arms to the guys when they were proving to each other they were still humans. We're led to believe that the group at the beginning is a rehab group but is instead potentially one for suicide support counselling. With how desperately Gary attempts to recreate his greatest night, it is implied his intention was to make another attempt on his own life following a successful completion of The Golden Mile.

Misty Crom

Amazon Prime (UK at least) and Youtube it seems. Same price on both.

Aaron Lovik

I loved how this whole movie was basically a huge quest for Gary. All the medieval references at the start started to make sense. If you watch it again, his description of their night as kids is basically telling what happens in the movie. Also, their last names are fitting for a quest. King, Knightly, Prince, Page, and Chamberlain.

Matthew Periolat

Three movies I would have never watched without Nat - Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End. I’m going to own two of the three, skipping only Shaun. As for Edgar Wright, you’re actually four in, Wright was a writer on Ant-Man. Was supposed to direct, but the project fell ridiculously far behind. Ah well. As for more funny stuff, as I sense a theater kid here, cannot recommend Noises Off enough. Also Steve Martin in All of Me, although that’s not British humor, that’s just funny. IMHO. Still Golden.

Aaron Lovik

Then you can get into the names of the 12 bars and what happens at them. The First Post: Bit obvious. The Old Familiar: Exactly the same as the first. Plus, Sam shows up sparking familiar feelings. The Famous Cock: It's Gary, he got thrown out and is still infamous for being a fuckup. The Crossed Hands: The guys finally work together to fight the robots (don't call them that.) The Good Companions: Pretending to have a good time. The sign shows four sad friends following a happy one. The Trusty Servant: O-Man fell out here both times, but the second time he became a servant for the Network. Two Headed Dog: Fight with the twins. The Mermaid: The Marmalade Sandwich seducing the guys. The Beehive: The Network reveals itself as a hive mind making everyone work together. Kings Head: Gary King loses his. The Hole in the Wall: Steven puts a car through the wall. The Worlds End: well....

So something cool Wright does with all three films in the Cornetto trilogy is essentially spoil the plot of the movie within the movie. Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End each tell their stories twice once "before" and once "after" some big event or revelation. In Shawn it's a day in his life going through the same motions having the same chance encounters before and then after the outbreak of zeds; he makes the same trip to the shop for example. Then in Hot Fuzz the climactic series of shootouts and action sequences running through the village either calls back to things said, or reenacts things done, earlier in the film. It's essentially the entire sequence of events in the film played out once again at double speed, while heavily armed; station, square, shop, doctor, reverend, pub, then fuck off to the model village as one of the Andies puts it. Of course having just (relatively) seen The Worlds End, Edgar Wright gives the entire sequence of events including effective mirrors of many of the same shots in the intro -- the ring and run on some guy's door, running into the Reverend Green, punching the wall, Andy tearing his shirt in the centre of a pub. Oliver gets "taken" when he goes to the bathroom, which is at the same pub he left the group at the previous attempt and then is at least figuratively "no longer with them" as the Oliver in the group is a Blank. The three guys still together at the end of the movie were the three who made it to the morning the first time, as Oliver and Pete both quit part way and this time were replaced by Blanks. Etc. Pegg and Wright have VERY tight scripts with very sharp writing, and you can easily still discover new fun details in the trilogy on the tenth and I have to assume hundredth watch you had never noticed before. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is so loaded with nods and references it would take a book the size of a YellowPages just to list them all (and that movie is more of the same in the best way, if you want more Wright comedy), while Baby Driver is a more classic action movie but still with Wright's very slick editing and wonderful allusion to this time heist movies and car chases of old. I highly recommend watching both.

Thomas Yanez

I've watched it a few times now and I always get a big, stupid smile on my face when the Housemartins' "Happy Hour" kicks in as the credits start to roll.

Yes, this. Was coming here to post this exact thing. Thank you for posting this

Ron K

Nat I think it's time for an "It's so cheesy it's awesome" poll. Movies like The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai and Flash Gordon.

Robert Reichle

Flash Gordon would be awesome. I'd wager no one is reacting to that either.

Anonymous

Gary was planning on committing suicide after the pub crawl. It was confirmed by Edgar and Simon that he was wearing his old uniform like a soldier who would put on their uniform before committing suicide

Troy B.

I had seen the other two before, but not this one as the trailer I'd seen had, I thought, ruined it for me (and I'm often not a fan of the "end of world" genre). But it still had a lot of surprises, and the actual end came as a total surprise to me. I'm surprised it hadn't been spoiled! A very enjoyable reaction, though the screaming was almost too much for my headphones at times. =D

Luis Torrefranca

Adding to list: Legend of Drunken Master

A warning to anyone in the UK that wants to sync with this - the NowTV Player on PC, for whatever fucking reason, plays the film at a slightly different playback speed? So you have to constantly pause and unpause to try and keep the film in time with Natalie. Amazon Prime version lines up fine.

Darryl Low

Yeah, I've noticed that. NowTv on all platforms races at such a speed. I watched the first Game of Thrones episode, and the Main Titles had finished before Nat's had even started. Unfortunately it's the only service that has GOT, unless you want to buy the bluray boxset.

If you've been enjoying the Cornetto trilogy you should check out the show that started it all. Spaced. Stars and written by Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes nee Stevenson. Also directed by Edgar Wright. Nick Frost's first actual acting job. He wasn't even an actor. He was just a mate of Simon's that Simon wanted to give a role to. Great series. I never see anyone react to it.

Anonymous

you should watch Paul. Not Cornetto but it has Pegg and Frost

Regi Todd

For the love of all that is good and holy, listen to this man. You'll see the styles you've come to love so much from the Cornetto trilogy, and so many faces show up IN the Cornetto trilogy. It'll almost never get voted for because it's not well known, but this would make for a quick and yet dense reaction video series since its only two seasons, less than ten episodes each.

Joe Blankenship

When I first saw this, I thought it was just okay. But I enjoyed it a lot more this time. Thanks for watching with us, Nat. (Have you ever seen The Outsiders, based on the SE Hinton book? They quote that “Nothing Gold Can Stay” poem by Robert Frost and say “stay gold.”)

David of the North

Every single one of Edgar Wright's films is a gem. Don't wait too long to watch Baby Driver and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Scott was shot in my hometown of Toronto.

Joeking

You should definitely give "Paul" a go. It came out slightly before this, but is set in the US. Minted by the way, means well off. Monetarily.
