I think I'm gonna save this one to watch on New Year's Eve. :)

Christian Rennie

Great choice! If you like Tom and Meg together try some of the others from this power RomCom genre. “Joe vs. The Volcano” & “You’ve got mail.”

Darryl Low

Amazing reaction Nat. I think this one sets the record for the earliest grab of the tissues! Bill Pullman is also in another "Sleep" movie, While you Were Sleeping, another holiday movie that you would definitely enjoy, and funnily enough it is also set in Chicago! I agree, the film scores of the 80s and 90s were so much more impactful. Back when they mainly used real orchestras. Tom Hank's friend is played by Rob Reiner, director of a lot of romcoms, including When Harry met Sally. "They're not gonna get me 2nd time around" Ah, but they got you next time and the time after that Nat. he he Thanks for all the laughs and the tears, and thanks for all your amazing videos. You did something truly amazing this year Nat, and I am so grateful to have been along for the ride. Cheers to ya Nat, and have a happy and safe New Year 💛

Oh, and that was Victor Garber. David Hyde Pierce is later at the Christmas dinner party.

Luis Torrefranca

Might have been allergic to tomato.

Luis Torrefranca

She’s peeling the apple because she was a Browncoat under Malcolm Reynolds’ command.

Luis Torrefranca

For the request list. Reaction to “An Affair to Remember”. Have a fresh box of tissues.

Nice discovery, although it's absolutely not the kind of movie I would watch, and I've never seen anyone cry so fast in front of a movie, you're so emotional, it's crazy 😆! I hope you're okay on your side, stay safe, stay golden and Happy New Year! 🥳

Brandon Scott

Ok, first, absolutely loved this reaction. This movie is adorable and I think you made me laugh even more than it did...and of course, we cried together through pretty much the whole thing..... having said that, you MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST watch Joe VS the Volcano. It is another Tom Hanks Meg Ryan film (even older than this one) but OH MY GOODNESS is it one of the sweetest absurdist films ever made. Then of course there’s You’ve Got Mail stating these two again but Joe VS the Volcano is an ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH. I don’t think it’s going to get a lot of love here in the comments as I’m unsure of how many of your followers have seen or even heard of it but, trust me, they will thank you when it’s over.

I swear, if this becomes a regular, I will freight ship Puffs to you so you can get through. Gotta be Puffs, they’re easier on the nose. Seriously, I’ve seen this movie loads of times and, while it’s not my favorite rom-com, it’s a gem. And you are so right about Tom Hanks, easily the best actor of our modern era. I did cringe as both An Affair to Remember and The Dirty Dozen were spoiled, but maybe you’ll forget between now and when you watch them! Thanks, as always, for sharing. An early Happy New Year to you and I cannot wait for 2021 and, because I believe this is going to last, beyond.

Luis Torrefranca

Oh... and spoiler alert for An Affair to Remember.

Ron K

Joe vs the Volcano is an extremely underrated movie. One of my favorite Tom Hanks movies. Hands down my favorite Hanks/Ryan movie.

JediLounger

I’m watching it now, and as per usual it’s a fun watch a long. Looking forward to the new year and more fun and laughs to share. Watching this also reminded me of another movie you should add if you have not seen it; Working Girl. Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford in a similar kind of movie. Also Regarding Henry, another Harrison Ford movie. Both of those are overly sappy but easy to watch and would be good reactions.

Thanks Natalie, that was a good one. I’m buying stock in Kleenex for any next reaction videos! ❤️

Ken

This was great Fun fact: Suzy, who went on about An Affair to Remember, was played by Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks' real life wife

It Hurt A Lot

That lightbulb moment when you discovered you were Walter...priceless

Gath Bard

Not gonna lie, Meg Ryan's character in this was pretty creepy, even at the time. I wonder if they ever addressed it later on. Tom Hanks: "Wait...you hired a private detective to investigate me AND showed up at my house where you spied on me and my son?" Meg Ryan: "Yes, but you see, I did it because we were meant to be together" Ironically, she acts just like the psychos he's trying to warn his son about. Also poor Walter.

Reid Ellis

@Darryl Low I've always thought that "While You Were Sleeping" was kind of a sequel to "Sleepless", where we see Walter (who is now named Jack, but is still Bill Pullman) finally get *his* happy ending.

Mitchell Bowker

You should rate the movies you watch based on how much you cry whilst watching them, out of 5 bags of tissues. For example, Sleepless In Seattle is definitely a 5 bagger! Lethal Weapon, probably a 1 bag.

Awesome reaction as usual! I wonder what series we'll get to pick from next, now that she's finished Firefly? Perhaps she'll return to watch Season Two of Mandalorian? Either way, she'll eventually need to line something up soon. :)

Anonymous

I see she has Dollhouse on the list. I haven't watched that in ages and I loved it! Perhaps it'll make it on a poll soon? *fingers crossed*

Chris Gronau

Well, Nataie's watchlist shows that The Mandalorian, Season 2, Episode 1 is currently in "Filming/Editing". So, I'm hoping that means we'll be seeing that soon. 😁

Randee Carreno

Happy New Year's Eve, Natalie! 🎆🥳 It took all of my willpower to wait until today to watch this since this is one of my favorite movies. As much as I've watched this movie I have yet to watch that movie "An Affair to Remember" that's shown a few times throughout this film. "You've Got Mail" is another good Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan movie. It's kind of similar to this one. Have a great New Year's Eve! And until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Andy Jordan

I agree with Gath Bard: Annie is pretty stalker-y. Walter’s a good dude, and it’s pretty awful that Annie travels across the country and leaves him because she falls in love with a voice. When Harry Met Sally is Ephron’s best, in my opinion, but still, great reaction! You’re a big softie like me, and it’s endearing to see you get so emotionally invested in everything. I’ve been known to cry at commercials myself, so I feel like I’m in proud company. 😊

Andy Jordan

Also, in the Hanks/Ryan trilogy, Joe Versus The Volcano is hands down the best one. Severely underrated dark comedy, and Ryan is great playing three separate characters.

Good stuff Nat

This is a great movie, another good rom com with Meg Ryan is French Kiss. Very funny and she's as adorable as ever. It'll probably make you cry hahaha

wroot

Grab a drink, grab a snack, grab a tissue :D

BJ Stephens

Love the reaction Nat. It's weird...I appreciate a good rom-com now and then, but definitely the thing I dislike about most of the genre is how there's always someone who ends up getting screwed, and it's even worse when it's a decent person like Walter. I wonder why the two love-interests can't just be single. /shrug

Kevin

You my have missed it, but one of my favorite parts is the very end. When the doors close on a smiling Jonah (a REAL smile) who is standing between his new mom and dad. It is a real "mission accomplished" smile.

Annie519

I know you did this reaction a while ago but I just saw that you did this movie, lol. Great reaction and yes it is a bit stalkerish now, back in the day no one thought anything of it. A fun fact the woman who plays Sam's "girlfriend" is Tom Hanks real wife, Rita Wilson, they've been together for a long time now. I always appreciated that they made Walter a good guy, they could have made him a jerk and make it easy for her to break up with but no they made him a really nice, good guy and that was part of her problem, she knew what a good guy he was and it made sense for her to be with him but they were just not meant to be, I always like to think too that he eventually meets Victoria, she too was a nice person, just a bit annoying. Two films I don't know if you've seen that I highly recommend is While You Were Sleeping, if you thought Bill Pullman was a nice, charming guy in this you haven't see anything yet in that movie, one of my all time favorite romantic comedies. And also A League Of Their Own, one of Tom Hanks most underrated roles and has such great female characters that represents us women so well and also has a great cast.
