Ha ha. This is the Way it's supposed to go! You couldn't have done that intro any better Nat. Thanks for a great surprise on New Year's Eve. You've done well to avoid all spoilers. Keep going. The yak-thing is called a bantha :) This episode was a proper space western, the stranger arriving in town to help out the townsfolk, and getting his reward. A lot of fun watching along with you Nat, as always. Thank you, and I hope you, Tyler and your family have a good New Year.

Calo Grsf

Happy new year Nat! I wish you a happy new year 2021 and good health🥳! Finally 😆 I was almost impatient to see you react to season 2 haha

Awesome! I'm new to your Patreon and was literally just wondering if/when you're watching season 2, then BAM, here's episode 1. Can't wait :D

Gath Bard

I hope it doesn't get spoiled for you before you get to the end. Season 2 is really good.

Aaron Taft

Ohhh, I got to get caught up on season 1 with ya; thanks, now I got something to do this New Years. By the way: I got Rogue One and The Force Awakens DVDs ready and waiting; are they still in the projected future?

Sean o'donnell-field

that guy at the end of the EP is Temuera Morrison the actor who played Jango Fett, so the voice and face of all the clones...and I will give you one guess as to who he is playing.

Anonymous

S2 starts off a bit slow but the rest of it is as good as SW has been in a long time. Especially for fans the other IPs like TV shows and books.

Anonymous

The guy at the end is the actor in attack of the clones who played the template for the clone army (jango Fett). That means it’s either an old clone stormtrooper (it’s not) ..... OR......

Anonymous

It’s not a spoiler. He appears at the end of this episode.

Yay! While I'm all on my lonesome for New Years I have something to do! Edit this together with my own copy in place of your blur, and watch with a beer! :D

YES!!! The season just ended a few weeks ago, and I was thinking about doing a re-watch. And your reactions are going to make it even better. You're going to love this season. This Is The Way! And Stay Golden! 💛

JediLounger

Glad you are finally watching this, I hope you can avoid spoilers for the rest of the season. I would suggest watching it as quickly as you can based on the pace you like to vary stuff, so you can get in on the happenings of the season, and so you don't get spoiled. Another poster already dropped a tip on what a Bantha is, but that large white thing they pulled out of the dragons corpse was not an egg, it was a giant krayt dragon pearl. In Jedi lore they are used to augment lightsabers for enhanced effects and damage. Obviously the ones used in that manner are much smaller lol. What you might want to consider doing is watching The Clone Wars at some point. There are a lot of episodes, so it may not be something that you would watch for Patreon, but in this season of The Mandalorian, and lots of the upcoming Star Wars TV shows, there are going to be lots of callbacks and references to that show, and lots of the stories and material are going to be mined from the Extended Universe books and comics that Disney cut off from the official cannon a few years ago. They did it to simplify things, which was wise, but have since been strategically bringing various characters and story lines back into the fold in order to create their own Disney Extended Universe. If I had to guess, I think that some of the people who wrote those books and comics will be involved in the creation of this new arm of Star Wars, which gives me hope for Star Wars going forward.

Season 2 was amazing!! After you finished watching season 2 of The Mandalorian you should definitely check out two Star Wars animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels. As you get further into the second of The Mandalorian you will see a lot of references and some characters from these two shows that you are not familiar with. These two animated shows Clone Wars and Rebels are connected to The Mandalorian and the movies as well. Once you go into The Clone Wars series you have to watch the episodes in chronological order including The Clone Wars animated movie. The timeline takes place between Star Wars Episode 2 & 3. And the other animated series Rebels takes place between Episode 3 & 4. Check out these two shows they’re amazing. I highly recommend it. It’s available on Disney Plus

Jay Beiler

Just to clarify, He's not seeking Baby Yoda's species, but "his kind" as in Force Users, aka the Jedi...and speaking of those creatures in the dark in the beginning....you should really check out Riddick: Pitch Black

Matthew Periolat

The ‘yaks’ are called banthas. What the Tuskens found was a krayt dragon pearl, not an egg. And one name in that cast list really caused my eyebrows to go up, I’m spoiler free... mostly... so happy to enjoy the ride with you. Happy New Year and welcome to 2021.

Garrick Smalley

Not a spoiler: The armor what's his name got for the crystals was Jango Fett's armor. That guy at the end was the actor who played Jango Fett. I am watching this along with you and I'm so glad I also do not run in the Star Wars portion of the internet. Happy New Year!

Temuera Morrison *did* play Jango Fett, but that was Boba Fett in that ep. played by same actor as he was a clone of Jango..

Was glad to see you start watching season 2. I have waited to watch it along with you.

Camping in the desert? Cold. Spent a couple nights in Red Rock State Park. Absolutely stunning but cold.

So yes avoiding spoilers is going to be hard while you watch the entire season. As soon as you are finished look into the Disney Executive meetings and get a rundown of the planned Star Wars Universe. You should avoid seeing anything Marvel planned since you are following those movies also until you get to the final Avengers movie. Not having some knowledge of the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons is going to make the season confusing. Filoni and Favreau are also pulling some storylines for some of the video games and novels so you may want someone to explain what you are seeing after you watch it. The first episode did pull from one of the novels so maybe we will see more of the Marshall in the future. Good stuff with season 2. Better story and more developed than season 1 in my opinion.

NobleSon32

The round ball the Sand People found in the body of the Krait Dragon was a pearl not an egg. Also Tusken Raiders are Sand People. The armor the martial had was Boba Fetts armor and it was Boba Fett at the end of the episode watching Mando drive off with his armor.

Darren Withers

I’m also just starting season 2, but the moment the marshal walked in, I recognised that armour as Boba Fett’s (not Jengo, I mean, he died, it’s officially Boba Fetts now, and really, alway was, he did come first!) There were other hints, the fact this was on Tatooine, the reference to the “Empty Sarlac pit”...... I’ll admit I didn’t recognise Temuera, though, that would have been the icing, so to speak.

Ronny Boss

Sry I'm a little late. Can't wait to see what you think of this season, things happen. Lots of things 😁 If you want a good sci-fi show after this season I think you would really enjoy The Expanse. Or maybe some high seas adventure with Black Sails 😄 Stay Golden Nat, can't wait for more

Ronny Boss

Wait how do you do that? I would love to watch it like that

Baron

Thank you huge fan. Watched a lot of your content and I am a little bit curious about how you choose to indicate how people should start their own version of the play a long, because for me it is a bit frustrating. Your early videos start at random points so I am never sure if I should be starting at post recap, pre recap, post second recap, you seem to just start at the beginning of the video. But you do this countdown thing that really makes me think of TV countdowns, why can't you give a verbal or visual cue as to when you are hitting play, it makes me think of Waynes World, random tv/movie reference but that was for tv, where they did the countdown and any way. Why? I am a huge fan, just why can't you say one? or use your fingers, nodding is ambiguous for me anyway, any way sorry. huge fan please make it easier to tell when I should hit play, thank you.

Richard Ryan

It seems like you could use a little help understanding what you saw in this episode. This episode took place on Tatooine. Tatooine was where Luke rescued Han from Jabba. Boba Fett, in his Green and Grey Beskar "died" in the Sarlac Pit. Now you've got a small mining town near a recently abandoned Sarlac Pit, with a Marshal wearing salvaged Green and Grey Beskar. Also, the mysterious figure you see in the last shot is the actor Temuera Morrison, who gave his face to Jango Fett and every Clone in the movies... Including Adult Boba Fett.

Thundarr100

So glad that you're finally reacting to Season 2 of The Mandalorian. You will love this season even more than you did the first season, I'm sure. Once you're done with Season 2, which shouldn't take too long as there are only 8 episodes, I'd like to see you react to Cobra Kai. All three seasons are available on Netflix. Also, if you haven't seen them yet or at least haven't seen them for a very long time, maybe right before reacting to Cobra Kai you can react to The Karate Kid movie trilogy as it will help to add context to the story.

"Is that like acid? is that like acid? is that like acid?" XD

Tim Olyphant is somewhat famous for playing rough law enforcement types. He and the Weequay bartender (W Earl Brown) worked together on one of my most favourite shows ever made, Deadwood. It has some of the best acting and writing I've seen on TV. Naturally it's yet another show tragically cut short, though they did manage 3 seasons (and a movie) at least. If you like the sound of a dirty shakespearean frontier show with real historical characters, check it out!

Joeking

Not sure if you watch the end credits, but if not they are worth a look for the art work. I think it's really great. Just my opinion.
