As a blackface scandal threatens to derail his re-election campaign, we look back at Canadian Prime Minister and international media brand Justin Trudeau - the "progressive" leader who wasn't. We watched GOD SAVE JUSTIN TRUDEAU (2014), a documentary about Trudeau's 2014 boxing match with Conservative senator Patrick Brazeau, which struggles to depict Pierre Elliott Trudeau's son as a political outsider.

fun one to listen back to, nostalgic for this time in Canadian politics

Related to the new non-Patreon ep rather than this one (no offense to this episode!) but I absolutely loved hearing you guys talk about your bleak work experiences, not least because I was briefly a telemarketer too (though I was fired after just one day) and also because in my actually very good current government job, we also had to watch the awful customer-service motivational featurette FISH about the Pike Place Market... where I later went as a tourist, not realizing the connection, and had immediate terror flashbacks when I noticed I was within the path of the famous flying dead fish. Anyway, it's always fun to hear a little bit of a tangential rant, a window into the Michael & Us back story if you will, so thanks.
