Progress report, fire update, etc (Patreon)

Hi all you wonderful people!

It's almost April already and oh boy what a year it's been already! From a fire in the EU datacenter, to huge leaps in development for the 1.0 build, to many of you switching to a full VRCDN solution instead of other streaming providers! I thought now would be a good time to sit and have a chat.

So, lets talk about the fire in the EU datacenter. For those of you who don't know we rent a lot of our machines from OVH, and sadly their SBG facility (where our EU edge servers were) caught fire. OVH has worked at a speed I never thought possible and we are now back up to full power.

The big elephant in the room is ofcourse when will the network hit 1.0? we have started work on the new database cluster and what we are calling the "Brain" of the network and are very close to getting a public test build of the new edge server. Our main goal for this is to rewrite our current proof of concept app stack into a full built for purpose app. I don't want to give a date yet but I can say that we are adding a LOT of new features I think you will all enjoy!

As you can imagine there is a lot of work to do to get this network to how I want it, but progress is a LOT faster than I expected too! I might even have some news to drop soon ;)
