Hello Teacups,

Today, Monday the 10th of September 2018, is World Suicide Prevention Day.

This day is important in so many ways: it spreads awareness, it tells stories of pain, triumph and hope, it highlights just how many of us have felt or feel the way we do, and perhaps most of all it confirms what we all need to know and remember - 'No one else can play your part'.

I am someone, like so many many others, who has felt that the world, my family, my friends, everyone would be so much better off without me. But I promise you, as others have promised me - that could never be true.

You are here. You are important. You are needed.

If you need help, please ask for it.

I promise, someone will help you.

As stated on the yourmenthealth.ie website, 'Working Together to Prevent Suicide is the theme for this year's World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th.'

We all have a part to play, and here is my small one:

There are many things in life that help with the issues we struggle with: exercise, yoga, candles, animal therapy, baking, video games, taking hot baths, getting obsessed with fictional characters, great food, bad movies, good movies, snacks, cups of tea, remembering to feed your cactus, etc...

For me, and I'm sure millions of others, one of my main helps is music. Whether it's bittersweet, happy as a sunflower, thought provoking, ridiculous, music is always able to make you feel, and for me, a price can't be put on that.

So here is a list of songs that always make me feel. This is just here if you ever want to feel grateful, inspired, smug, fabulous, and most of all - HAPPY:

Thank you Tea. You know exactly how to make us happy. It's nice to hear an audio such as this one especially since I'm going through a difficult time in my life right now.Wish you the best.

Neil Winter

Take a listen to "Stand" by Rascal Flatts or "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers. Two songs I found that heavily relate to these topics that you could add as well. Great choices of songs anyways!
