SWAMPS! They're such fun locations, filled with stagnant water, parasites, bandits, mosquitoes, disease, mosquitoes, lakes of acid, mosquitoes, swampfolk, and even mosquitoes! But I'll bet you didn't think that I couldn't find a way to write about the foodways of anyone who chooses, or has been chosen to live here! THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE NOT QUITE CORRECT BECAUSE I CAN AND I DID.

If you recall from the first time I penned a document on foodstuffs and food lore for Outset, I do this because it helps me answer any immediate, mundane questions such as "What do they eat?". This is so I can sit back, enjoy the setting, and not ask myself niggling little questions like that! To wit: What would people in the swamps eat? The bigger question is, who in The Solitude can even last long enough to generate something approaching a food culture? Well, my friends and esteemed readers, I answer that and just a bit more in this little PDF, so by all means enjoy! The Solitude is a harsh, moistened land, and its foods I feel do an exemplary job of showing just how weird and steeled you have to be in order to live out there.
