Carlos Hurtado

Hey, Brandon. What was your favorite film in the Cornetto Trilogy?

brandonlikesmovies

It's been quite a while since I watched Shaun of the Dead so I don't remember my exact feelings on it, but I think right now Hot Fuzz would be my favorite of the 3.

Brandon you’re Usual Suspects reaction video is blocked on YouTube! Thought you should know.

Rob Flynn

Yes! I just sat down with some steamed rice and a big hot plate of lemon grass chicken and then I see that you dropped this! Nice!

Love this film. So many little Easter eggs and pieces of foreshadowing; the opening montage displays the events of the film, the 5 men’s names are all names of roles in medieval times, the hints of Gary’s depression and self harm littered throughout the film. It’s so good

I’m sure im not the first to suggest this, but you could do reactions to the TV show Spaced if you wanted to see where Pegg, Frost and Wright started out. A lot of the other actors in the show went into Wright’s cornetto films too and it’s where he honed his skills. It also happens to be brilliant and hilarious, though it’s 20 years old now so may have dated a bit.

It took me a couple of watches to appreciate this one. Like you, it was the super crazy ending that kinda put me off. As I rewatched it and caught all the nods and Easter eggs, I enjoyed it a lot more. Also, the same guy who did fight choreography for Kingsman did the fight choreography for this. At 8:50 of the following video link, Corridor Digital breaks down the SFX, specifically in the bathroom scene, of this movie. I think you might find it interesting, since you commented on how seamless it is. https://youtu.be/Fve5UfKO3U0
