Breaking Bad S5E3 (Hazard Pay) Full Length Reaction

I'm still watching the reaction so not sure if you make the connection, but the guy Mike talks to in the jail at the beginning of the episode is the guy who was the supervisor at the laundry when Gomez brought the dogs at the end of season 4

Introducing Todd........... commonly refrenced by the fans as "Meth Damon"... and yes he's quite the character in this... -_-

lemmy101

pls do you need to give hints about characters he had like one line in this there's no reason whatsoever to expect him to be a notable character. can't reactors just find this stuff out?

lemmy101

Poor Jesse - Walt totally manipulated him into breaking up with Andrea there, I wonder if because he was nervous of his relationship with them post Brock poisoning. He's becoming a master of manipulation. :(

Carlos Hurtado

The House tent meth lab was such a cool idea. I dont know how the creators came up with this kind of stuff.

Makes you wonder how many people have done it in real life lmao

I remember watching this the first time and realizing the entire series up to this point took place over the course of one year.

I love the detail of Walt eating an apple. On the fly, he comes up with the excuse that Skyler's breakdown was because of an affair that Marie didn't know about. He wrecks Marie's entire opinion of Skyler, distressing her to the point where she doesn't have anything to say (even Skyler couldn't get her to "shut up"). Marie walks away in a daze... and Walt grabs an apple like, "It's such a nice day, I think I'll treat myself!" Dude is straight up twisted.

Don't worry, we've still got El Camino and Better Call Saul after you finish this series. So it doesn't end quiet yet after this series. Better Call Saul is also written by Vince Gilligan, its such an amazing show just like this one, so plenty to look forward to still in the breaking bad universe.

Mike D

I think Better Call Saul is even better than Breaking Bad, the series also fills the gaps of Breaking Bad. Show you why some things happened in Breaking Bad... I sincerely hope that Brandon continues with Better Call Saul right after Breaking Bad.

People really need to stop giving hints it’s super annoying. Almost makes me want the comments to just be turned off

Oooo yeah, perfect time for me to upgrade my patreon tier. This season is the one I'm ready for. Also, yes, the final season was broken into two. Episode 8 was a mid season break where we had to wait almost an entire year for the final 8 episodes. And it was an unbearable wait. My favorite episode of television is in the second half... And I cannot recommend people to watch it without the previous 4 and a half seasons of build up. This is the season that raises Breaking Bad into a tier all of it's own. I'm so excited for these reactions!

Brandon I’m a new patreon and I can’t stress enough how much you need to watch Better Call Saul after BB. It’s as good if not better. Particularly the later seasons, I can’t express how good it is.

Do you go back and watch the episodes again, privately? You miss a lot of humor, not to mention plot points, because you're talking through them. I understand it's a "reaction" but you miss so much that it seems like you're having trouble following certain parts, that seem obvious if you've been paying attention to the story.

lol gimme a break! I'm against people spoiling or hinting at future episodes as anyone, in fact the comment *directly* above this I complain of that same thing. But this isn't a 'hint' it was meant to be clear in the episode and Brandon didn't pick up on it - its not some spoiler relating to anything in any future episode. and it's hardly hint to remark that Walt's become super manipulative given what he's done to Jesse in the past 5 episodes. Spoilers/hints are not the same thing as pointing out stuff you're meant to notice but might not.

This show is just so good that I had to keep going on with this season beyond your reactions. And you bet I’ll still watch these reactions because I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

I have no beef with Brandon doing reactions the way he does them, because I cannot think of another way short of pausing and commenting, and then how would we all stay synced up. But I do agree with you, it ends up in him missing important stuff. Like in the previous episode, Walt had the original cigarette still, and Jesse was still obsessed about what happened to it... so Walt made a replacement cigarette with salt, to look like ricin, and then "found it" with Jesse there, so make Jesse quit worrying. The one he put in the wall socket is the original.

Anthony L

Another thought on this. Breaking Bad is an extremely hard show to TRULY react to. There is such an economy of plot that ANY plot happening while the reactor talks will be missed. We just have to hope that Brandon has a good sense of top tier importance vs. secondary importance, which is VERY hard to determine.

If he didn't talk he wouldn't have any reaction to edit down for his YouTube videos, I suppose he could do a separate reaction video. I'm with you that sometimes I'm hoping he'll be quiet as hes talking over a great part lol but then I understand its needed.

He missed one of my favorite Mike lines when Mike was telling Walt: “ You...are trouble. I'm sorry the kid doesn't see it, but I sure as hell do. You are a time bomb, tick-tick-ticking. And I have no intention of being around for the boom.
