a girl I know who loves breaking bad dislikes skyler a lot, but at least her reason is because she doesn't like the character itself - not a fan of how the character is written, used, etc. which is a valid opinion. but it bothered me and blew my mind to see so many people hated skylar so much. the freaking ACTRESS who plays her was receiving death threats. what the actual ****??? it really deeply saddened me, and people's views on a woman. I feel like there is an expectation for her as a wife to support her husband's every whim and not stand up for herself? And if she is curious about the whereabouts of her missing husband who constantly lies to her during her pregnacy, her asking is 'nagging wife' behaviour? Wtf? she is a flawed character like everyone else in this show just about. and she went through hell

Yeah, this episode carried over Walt's bitterness about surviving. Jesse says how he was checking obits in case walt passed away. Walt says no such luck, further demonstrating his bitterness towards survival. The walter part of him feels like he did all of this to his family for nothing, he would have been okay and could have continued supporting them other ways. now he broke his family and didn't need to. I think this triggers something in Walt, coping with his continued existence and bitterness towards it. His state of coping, paired with alcohol to amplify it, brought out the first time Walt truly became Heisenberg, or rather Heisenberg became Walt. Before that it was a mask he wore, it was a character role for a purpose. This was the two becoming one, truly. Also, I won't spoil anything but re-watching that jane and jesse convo earlyish in the episode, i def noticed something this time. I appreciated it
