So I just watched the next 2 It's Always Sunny episodes (The Gang Goes Jihad and The Gang Gives Back) but when I looked online for the episode names it says The Gang Gives Back is episode 6. I'm playing them from a disc and watching them in the order on there so did they change the order since original release? The plotline of the episode made perfect sense coming off of The Gang Goes Jihad so I would never have thought there was 3 episodes potentially in between. When I upload the full length and YouTube edits should I call The Gang Gives Back episode 3 or episode 6? I'd appreciate any thoughts/info!

The episode was meant as a "sequel" to episode 2 but was aired in a different order. It's no big deal.

I hate it when T.V companies do stuff like this, but maybe I've got a particular 'bee in my bonnet' because I was a huge fan of Firefly and Fox absolutely wrecked the show by not only airing it out of sequence but airing it in different time slots, it was a travesty! Okay I'll breath now lol. Heck maybe the situation with this reordering isn't even comparable, for all I know it wasn't the networks fault, just thought I'd vent because it sounded similar.

"Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" takes the price for worst butchering of the episode order. The plot lines made no sense at all when watched in "as aired" order.

That may be or may not be true, but in any case at least the show was well established enough for it to not lead to the shows cancellation. Firefly's show order was butchered from the very first episode! It was supposed to be Serenity which had tonnes of character introduction. The Train Job ended up being aired first (Fox's decision) which pretty much assumes character introduction has already occurred.
