Watching all these shows showed me how much of an amazing dancer Momo and Mina are. You already saw how both of them got up and danced multiple times. That's our girls. Momo and Mina main dancers let's go!!! There's gonna be plenty more. Be prepared man. Mina is going to kill you in these shows. Trust me. 😂😂

So on one of the weekly idol there’s a controversy with one of the mc smacking Jeongyeon on the arm. It was a playful thing but he almost lost his job over it. So on the next weekly idol Jeongyeon smacks his arm back. Just wanted you to be aware of that. Also this show the power of jyp girl group. Any girl group out of jyp is automatically has a higher priority then other girl group. Itzy was also treated the same. Most group wait years before appearing on these shows. I’m not it a negative thing but it show how big an event and how much people anticipated a jyp girl group.

Jeongyeon pushing the guy is way in the future. Its on Idol Room. All this controversy is actually made up by fans. Twice LOVES Weekly Idol/Idol Room. Twice even followed the two MCs (Defconn and Hyung-don, Hyung-don being the one who hit JY with the hammer) to Idol Room, after they left Weekly Idol. Twice always wanted to go in this show, and they did it for every comeback until Idol Room ended in January 2020. Twice even wore their merch in public. The relationship between Defconn and Hyung-don and twice is friendly.

Yes that right they are two different show with similar name but defcon was in both of them. Also he did smack her in the arms and yes he did hit her with the hammer. But to me that’s a part of variety show. I didn’t want toogrown to freak out because people from the USA would see something to that extent and freak out. The closes we have to Korean variety show is jack ass or kids competition show. So something like that would freak US viewers out. But it’s all in fun and games or else the would of edited out. She did look uncomfortable with the arm smack but the hammer sounds was what freaked out once.

Hmm I wouldn’t say there’s anything American that can compare to a variety show as a whole, let alone Jackass or a kids show. If anything, the closest thing you could compare to are maybe the game segments on a late night tv like Fallon, Kimmel, or even Ellen. It’s basically getting a celebrity to show their personality via a game or variety performance.

Yeah but I think Korean variety show would be an extreme of those show. Kids show would be the physical aspects like the show on Nickelodeon while jackass would be the jokes they play and the stunts they do. For example the fact that how the hammer sounded when it hit her head is not something you would see on Ellen or any of the other late night show. But you can compare it to jackass with the big had with powder that slap you when you walk through the door. Jackass just goes farther. It’s not just weekly idol/room, it knowing bro’s and running man. We don’t have anything close to that in the US. Japanese shows takes it even farther then that. I came from Japanese show so Korean show are not that bad. But to a US view who is jumping into it lol it would freak them out. Like how can you do this to a celebrity? Lol

These variety shows are getting better and better from now on! ^^ But I also love the Weekly Idols and Knowing Bros episodes with Itzy and Red Velvet! Twice has so much to offer though, that it might take a while to get to these videos...

Love it man! Carrying on with these Variety Shows, it's best to keep in mind that these are platforms for promoting comebacks or debuts so everything that happens is all in good faith. They prepared for this in 15+1 when they went camping (after Momo elimination) so they are at the very least accustom to being put on the spot and playing games. You will see things in the later episodes that might throw you off in a way that you think is inappropriate, as one of the hosts had controversy surrounding him for bullying idols that go on the show. Though it may seem extreme in TWICE's case which you will see, again just keep in mind that it is all in good faith. Can't wait for the next episode!

How Tzuyu was discovered will change over the years from what she will say, this is largely due to PR and possibly under the Networks Instructions. But the official version is that a JYPE Recruiter spotted her on a Youtube Video then flew to Taiwan to watch her at a Dance Practice where she was Cast.

weekly idol is not really a huge show in korea. the rating is not high if i remember it right. but it is a popular show among kpop fans. and it is a great platform for idols to showcase themselves especially for rookies.
