The people have spoken, and what you spoke was that you wanted me to keep doing the Word of the Day/Week but put it somewhere you could go back to it (unlike the 24-hour-only Lens). Here is a first stab at doing that: a weekly set of themed vocabulary in a Patreon-exclusive video. This week's theme is compliments.

Regular video updates this week (after my "special episode" on the media ruckus around the Rök runestone) included a look at the innangard/utangard non-words that the internet is convinced were important words in Old Norse, and a public post of our Crowdcast conversation with Indo-Europeanist Dr. Tony Yates from last week.

For now, as always, thank you for your support, and all the best,

Jackson Crawford

Absolutely perfect! I love the new format - being able to return to it in the future will be a wonderful asset. I also like that you are focusing on small batches of related words and putting them in context to one another.

When do we know when to use "end R"(old z) and R. Here I mean in the end of a word as you have used both here. Best from Denmark

It can be complicated to know which one to use every time, but there is a reason and rhyme to it. I explained it briefly here: https://youtu.be/6Q3MGzbxk2U and it's also discussed as part of this larger video: https://youtu.be/X7Z65582ex4
