omg i was the one that made the comment about their age difference but someone got after me and said it was a spoiler (even thought it’s not, it’s just something we know because of their birthdays) so i deleted it. but basically lucas is 3 months older than nathan so dan got karen pregnant in august and then ditched her to go to college and got deb pregnant in november. hope this helps😊! also yes the show is very slow right now because it’s mainly just establishing the main plot, character development and relationships. you guys will love the show i know it so please keep watching:)!!! great reaction

Saying the age difference is okay. Someone mentioned something about what Dan wanted to do when Karen got pregnant and that is something that gets discovered later on the season. Your timeline is good because you get to the point without going in depths about the spoilers of when/why/how it happens as it will be discovered later in the series.

Always thought the first few episodes of One Tree Hill were slow but things start to pick up starting in the next episode. The first few episodes are about establishing who the characters are and seeing what is meant to be the already existing dynamics between them. The dynamics with characters will change throughout the series plus certain characters have great character development. Also even though the first few episodes are slow it is amazing how some of the smallest moments that have already happened in these first few episodes later become moments referenced throughout the series. You don't even notice until you see scenes in later episodes/later seasons.

You have to remember that Lucas is still a teenager and he and Haley were on the outs not long ago. Plus the way Nathan looked at him when he hugged Haley is also fueling his anger towards the tutoring deal. All I'm saying is that he has a right to be upset, especially considering that Haley doesn't believe him when he warns her about Nathan.

I do think Lucas has a right to be upset because he hates Nathan and thinks Nathan is messing with her. He also thinks Haley is lying because she might be lying to herself about her feelings. And honestly I agree that it's kind of shitty that both Brooke and Nathan had no idea it was the anniversary of her mother's death. And yes, they're all juniors, and we're essentially in the fall semester, so they're 16-ish.

I feel like Peyton doesn't really like to open up to people so that's why nobody really knows what is going on with her. Also, I understand Lucas' anger about the Haley situation but I do agree that if there was really something going on between Nathan and Haley he shouldn't get in the way cuz it's not his place.. Sure he can tell her about his worries with Nathan but not straight up be like "NO! YOU CAN HANG OUT WITH HIM". I don't think Haley is necessarily aware of her feelings towards Nathan and she isn't lying to Lucas about what is going on Lucas should just believe her cuz after all that is his best friend. Anyways, I am really excited for the next episode, it's one of my faves and that's where things really start picking up I believe.
