i always thought this one was hilarious. Plus Garth!

Stacey

Hahaha whoops

Yes, you are right Steven. A lot of fans don’t like the episode because of the consent issue. I enjoy her goofiness and still laugh at the episode, except cringe a little when Sam is tied to the bed. I completely admit I’m guilty of a double standard because I would be outraged if the roles were reversed. The episode is loads of fun. We have Becky, plus Garth is a nice little bit of additional comic relief. Another goofball side character that adds levity. Sorry to say no more Leslie Odom Jr. Like you said, he really played that character well and it would have been fun for him to be a recurring problem for the Winchesters.

It's annoying to me, because I love Supernatural but s7 isn't that great so far to me, so I'm heavily waiting for you to get to s8...

oof this is one of the worst episodes of the worst season (in a lot of fans eyes) it can be funny at parts and becky is fun (in small doses) but yeah, they kind of missed the mark when they alluded to sam being basically raped. in no circumstance is that funny.

Guess everyone is different because I really like this episode. Maybe if Sam would have been raped by Becky I would feel differently. We get Crowley not being ok with messing with crossroad deals. We get Garth with his funny little side comedy. We get a callback to the books which I love those episodes with Becky. I really enjoy s7 sorry that a lot of you don’t but those are my own feelings. I don’t comment that often but I hate when people make comments that make others feel like everyone feels like they do or should feel like they do. Let the reactor have their own opinion & judge if they like the season for themselves. The constant “I hate this episode” “I hate this season” well not everyone feels that way

Garth is just meant to being filling in for Sam and be comic relief why does it have to be more than that for now. I also don't have a problem with this episode everybody is so damn sensitive these days. And I know before I even say anything in real life anything like this whether towards a man or woman isn't right and is wrong and illegal but in the context of the show i think we sometimes let things go for characters that we would never in real life. In the scheme of things a love potion used how Becky does ranks low for me. i mean people forgive Xander on Buffy for his love spell or Morty's for his on Rick and Morty or other characters for stuff and on SPN Sam and Dean have both done things worse than this and people let it go. One of the worst things I think Sam did was take the woman possessed by the baby eating demon who was awake and drain and probably kill her to drink her blood to kill Lillith but everybody including myself seem to move right on from that but somehow people can't seem move on from what Becky did like Sam actually does in the episode. She never actually slept with Sam and what she did was wrong but she realized that in the end and backed the brothers and Sam even left her on a positive note trying to encourage her so for me I just step back and laugh at the funny stuff of the way they act as a married couple and it's funny I actually think if Sam would have given her a chance and she hadn't done the potion they might have actually been ok together they actually worked well together and seemed like they would have been happy if the feelings were real. I know it would have never happened it's just kind of funny to think about when you see them researching and hunting together. lol

Dorothy

I know I'm late, but dude...Garth. Its Garth😂. I know you don't know him yet, but we love Garth over here😂😂😂.

I agree. I mean she didn't sleep with him. She made some morally questionable decisions yes. I liked this episode because it had some great comedy moments. If they slept together whilst he was under potion that would be a different story. I think Stephen's right about the whole 'Misery' thing, it's very like that! There are actually crazy fans out there so I think it was important to show that. When Dean said he needed to save Sam from groupies, I felt like that was Jensen talking - I wonder if they've had any crazy fans stalking them (probably!)

In 'Weekend at Bobby's' last season they mentioned a hunter named Garth - he was the one he said call the FBI - but then he called Bobby's FBI phone... The point of his character was comic relief. But it also introduces us to another hunter. This show has very returning characters, so to have someone who could come back is always a good thing...
