If you get around to watching the OG Twin Peaks, come back and watch this. The Father / Pastor guy was an actor in Twin Peaks. There were several in this episode. :)

Ahhh, definitely do yourself a favor and revisit this episode if you do ever watch Twin Peaks (which you should - first two seasons are a classic of modern tv and the 2017 revival is an absolute masterpiece). I agree that it’s good on its own, but it’s a thousand times better when you can pick up on the insane amount of references they crammed in. To point out the obvious one that answers some of your questions: the episode features 7 members of the original Twin Peaks cast, including Ray Wise who plays Father Westley, which is why he kind of randomly gets pulled into the episode.

There were actually a few different endings I think! I remember they did a voting for whose ending we wanted to see and the particular one they showed won. But they did show the other endings as well, I just can’t remember how many there were but I think it was at least 3.

Their tribute episodes always knock it out of the park - for me even though I’ve never seen Twin Peaks, I loved the episode anyway.
