I'll say this much, this season has successfully distracted you so the following episodes should be lots of fun especially next one. I can see the frustration already but maybe you'll begin to understand what was happening the entire time

I love that in the beginning of the episode Dean says “I’m a posse magnet“ and at the end of the episode Steven says “Go grab some ash” 😂

I rewatch this one a lot because all the jokes and watching Dean do cowboy role play is just fun for me. Though I cannot disagree with your feedback on the episode. I agree with Daniel that all mysteries will be revealed, though I will disagree about the next episode...not a favorite of mine, so it will be interesting to see how you like it.

Did you notice that the Phoenix is Ted (nuclear man) from Heroes? Also as stated by the above comments, it all ends up in the end. The angel chick is to show us there is a side story going on with Castiel that we are unaware of

A big part of the issue some people have with this season is that first time viewers don't really know the full plot until the end of the season. There are clues all along the way, but you would probably have to rewatch the season to even pick up on most of those. It's unlike the first five seasons which were much more straightforward. I mean, with season 5 we knew what the problem was right away. The devil's out and we need to put him back in the cage. This season is more of a mystery. That being said, I like season 6 lot. Not as much as seasons 4 and 5, but probably still more than the average fan. In any case, I look forward to seeing your reactions to the rest of the story.

If nothing else, at least season 6 gave us "Weekend at Bobbies" and "The French Mistake," two of the best Supernatural episodes of all time.
