The flashbacks with Julie, shows her ship, the Scopulii getting boarded, the crew being taking to the Anubis where they are killed and she is locked up. You see them when that ship shots and destroys the Canterbury. And the dialogue tells us they destroy the Canterbury to start a war with Mars and Earth to serve as a distraction for what they are doing on Eros.

And you ask who is in charge of the Anubis. Julie at the beginning says the Anubis crew is working for her father,

Based on what we have seen in episode 8, where the "bioweapon" which we hear called the "Proto Molecule". The Proto Molecule seemed to come alive, when Holden and Crew turned the reactor back on. And on Eros, when Julie is infected, she destroyed any power source. So yes the radiation is used to help grow the "virus".

Steven you honestly pretty much figured out everything that's happening! This is a great show with lots of little details put into it. A very dense story is happening. So good! Can't wait for episode 10. Remember this show is based on books so every finale might not feel like a finale because they are going by each book. Also i'm wondering when are you planning on posting episode 10? In 2 weeks?

Chrisjen is an interesting character. She is upset about the death of her friend, but she also wants information on what the hell is going on. Also I believe this is the very first time we see Julie's dad. Miller did call him to tell him he couldn't find Julie a few episodes ago, but I don't think we saw him before this ep. Great catch on checking out the details on all the screens in the background... they include stuff that helps connect the dots all the time! So great.

To make sure you understand: Julie was on the Scopuli, and her and her crew were boarded and taken onto the Anubis-who had came from Phoebe Station and was on its way to Eros. So you had it right the first time- Julie was part of the Scopuli. The Scopuli was sent by Fred Johnson to figure out what they had made/discovered on Phoebe Station, and it was trying to intercept the Anubis to retrieve that, which they believed to be a research vessel- not a stealth ship. After capturing the Scopuli crew, the Anubis crew put a transponder onto the Scopuli transmitting a distress call for the Canterbury to pick up- lying in wait to blow them up.
