It's fine that you have chosen not to watch The Incredible Hulk. It is the one movie that doesn't feel like it fits into the Avengers Universe, mostly because it was Edward Norton who plays the Hulk, and then Mark Ruffalo takes over as the Hulk in the rest of the movies with him in them. And while I like Edward Norton as an actor in a number of his movies, I didn't like him as the Hulk. You've definitely made the right decision. And if you've seen it before, then there's definitely no point in doing a rewatch reaction for it. As for Thor... whether his stand alone movies are good or not to most fans of these movies, I really enjoy Thor a lot. This movie is entertaining, fun, and it's a good way to set up what's to come for his character and the Asgardian world. So thank you, David! :)

I agree with you about Hawkeye. He's actually my favorite of the Avengers because he's different from the rest of them. He's a hell of a warrior without the power that most of the other characters have. He fights with a high tech bow and arrows, which is amazing too. I also love him because he isn't ashamed to show his emotions and feelings, and he isn't cocky or full of himself like a number of the other characters are. don't get me wrong... I love Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, and all the rest, but there's just something different about Hawkeye, that I just love about him. Plus... I love, love, love Jeremy Renner as an actor. He's a phenomenal actor. :) So with all that being said... I agree with you that they wasted his character in this movie and failed to even introduce him as Hawkeye so that we don't understand the point of his character within this movie. Had you not watched Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, you wouldn't even know he was. So, I definitely agree with you.

Just some quick trivia... much of the days are named after Norse gods.. Tuesday is named after Tyr. Equivalent to Mars/War. Wednesday is named after Odin. Thursday is after Thor obviously. And Friday is after Frigg. Thor's mother iirc.

I think what people miss about this movie, because it is a comic book movie, is its very shakespearean twist of the norse mythology, which is why Kenneth Branagh directed the movie. Its a well written movie, with its faults.

I like Thor especially for a phase 1 marvel movie, it's one I can rewatch and still enjoy, never understood why only a few people seem to like it.

Jane Foster was Thor’s love interest in the comics for the first 5 years (1962 – 1967). During that time Thor had a mortal secret identity as a physician and Jane Foster was a nurse. Odin was dead set against Thor courting a mortal woman, which led to many violent disagreements between Odin and Thor, and ultimately resulted in Thor and Jane going their separate ways. Since then, Jane has returned from time to time to the comic book in various ways, all too complicated to explain here. If this movie hadn’t included Jane Foster in some capacity, I would have been disappointed. The reason for her inclusion here, beside pleasing nostalgic fans like me, is because mythological heroes like Thor usually have a damsel in distress. Jane plays a part in helping Thor learn humility, and to give him a reason to return to earth. How this plays out in the Marvel movies, we shall find out together!!! As for Loki and Eric Selvig in the end credits, that information is classified.

For anyone tilting their heads at Wednesday, Odin was sometimes called Wodin.
