Howdy ladies and gents, so I see that some are having issues with the movie reactions with buffering. Those that follow other patrons that use streaming services. Which ones have given the least amount of problems in your opinions?

I personally like Dropbox, bc it doesn’t give me any problems, but I see other reactors use OneHub or GoogleDrive to upload their reactions, which still comes out real good, i just prefer Dropbox lol.

GoogleDrive is pretty reliable

Other Boy Reactions

Google Drive has been working pretty well for my reactions

The buffering issue with movie reaction is because the movie is 2.5gb and free version of Dropbox is only 2gb, so it starts buffering around 2gb of movie played. The solution is to download the reaction or upgrade Dropbox plan.

Would you all be ok with a 720p Version instead of 1080p Version?

I would be fine with 720p, but yeah Google Drive seems good. (Edit: I see you had trouble with it in the past, maybe it's better now but otherwise yes you can try OneHub!)

As a viewer I have had the most consistently good experiences with Dropbox and private videos on Dailymotion. However, I have an upgraded Dropbox account. Google Drive is good, but its videos have a viewer limit, there is a quick way around it (copy the video to your own GD) but it's still a hassle. Some reactors use OneHub, but for me the buffering of this is always so bad that the videos are almost unwatchable. MEGA is another popular one, but they seem to have a 40-minute / day free viewing limit for any individual IP address...

Some people said that they have Dropbox space and it still freezes, but downloading the video solves the issue. I am still pretty sure the issue with previewing the video on Dropbox site is because of the size. Maybe you could try uploading a lower quality that is smaller in size just to see if it freezes.

Yes. Or split the movie past the hour mark and put the links to see parts 1,2,3 in the post so you don’t need to make 3 posts

So far for me dropbox does tend to buffer after a certain amount of time for no reason, even with gigabit internet. I end up just watching your dropbox videos using temporary downloads and watching via windows movies and tv app. I know of a couple patreon creators who use googledrive and it seems to mostly work fine. One problem with it I've noticed, however, is there is sometimes a limit where google makes a video unavailable for a time due to too many visits/downloads in a small amount of time. I'm not sure how or why it does this or what the number of downloads/visits is needed to trigger it though. Maybe someone else can chime in on what causes it, it's some kind of "too many requests" error. Google searching it seems to reveal that it's not an uncommon issue, although it's always only ever temporary. But as far as the actual streaming part of it, I've never had a single issue with google drive.

I just download it and then delete it after I've seen it. But OneHub is fine, Aftershowreacts used OneHub for Buffy and that never gave me any issues to watch.

What if you split the video in half and put up two links instead?

Raximor

Onedrive might also be a good shout too or Google Photos. These links are used by another reactor that shows the full footage just like you and they also do both movie and TV show reactions.

A reactor I follow (JuliDG) use Google Photos and it works very well for me. The image is good and there is never any buffering issues like I often have with Dropbox or Google Drive. I regularly watch movie reactions there with no problems.

Pixeldrain seems decent

Florence

She also provides all three links so we're spoiled for choice but drive is the least reliable in my opinion.
