Thank you so much for your reaction for The Tower!!!! I really enjoy this episode a lot. Especially for the focus on David in Storybrooke as well as on Charming back in the Enchanted Forest during their missing year. I really, really love his storyline overall, as he must face his fears of what's to come with expecting another child with the threat of the Wicked Witch looming over them. First... my absolute favorite scene throughout this episode was between Emma and Hook of course, as Emma asks Killian what he did during their missing year, and yet he refuses to tell her. However, Killian assures Emma that her heart still works, because it was able to be broken. It's sad, but such a powerful moment between them both and the look they give one another... stunning. And it's also quite obvious that something has happened during the missing year in Hook's life, that he's deeply worried about telling Emma. And it pains him. You can see how much so in his eyes. However, his thoughts are mostly for Emma, as he encourages her to face her own doubts about herself so she can be the strong and powerful woman he knows her to be. Like I said... such a beautiful moment between them. As for David's nightmare about failing Emma as a father... it's so sad and then it becomes terrifying. It's brilliant and I really love how it goes into the scene when Snow tells him for the first time that she's pregnant with their second child. I really love how these scenes were both done. Next... I love how Zelena focuses on David and makes him face his fears of being a father all over again, when he was unable to be a father for Emma. I like how the demons in both the present storyline and in the past storyline were actually themselves, as David helps Rapunzel face her own self too in order to help free her from the tower, which he did. And she finally faced her own fear of being Queen and the loss of her brother, then became reunited with her parents once more. David also faces his own self and won, but this time... Zelena uses the root on him in order to help bring out his courage, so she can steal the hilt of his sword which has now become a symbol of his courage upon becoming imbued with a little of his courage. Zelena's very intriguing and I couldn't wait to find out just what it was she was. Also... Zelena is quite creepy at times with how she acts especially around Rumple, and around Mary Margaret and her poor baby inside of her. It's brilliant and Rebecca Mader's acting as Zelena, is phenomenal. I really love her as the Wicked Witch a lot. Her scene with Rumple when she shaves him, so she can nick him with his own blade in order to steal some of his blood to break into his safe protected by his own blood magic... I love it. So creepy and so brilliantly acted by both villains. :) Now... I really like the brief scene between Regina and Henry too. It's so sweet to see them together, even though Henry can't remember Regina as his mother. And I love it when Regina tells him that perhaps one day, he will have more family than he will know what to do with. So true! Overall... I really like this episode a lot. Oh... and now the heroes all know that Rumple is alive once again, so yay!! And that look on Hook's face in the moment he sees the spinning wheel inside the cage... you can clearly see the anger welling up inside of him as he's the first to realize who was being held prisoner in Zelena's storm cellar. Phenomenal! So good!!!! Thank you again, so much!! Until next time...

Don’t get me wrong, the episode was great, and it did a really good job expressing how fearful David is of being a father. Sure, he is already a father, but he never got to raise Emma, he lost the first 28 years of her life and now he’s afraid that he can’t be there for his new son/daughter. I really like this idea, also really happy that they included Rapunzel into the mix, although her story might be different. I’m a huge fan of the Disney movie Tangled, the story about Rapunzel, and really liked that she could be apart of Once Upon a Time, even if her hair isn’t blonde in this version. However, I have to agree with your rating of the episode. There was a lot of story that didn’t add much to the present timeline, the only thing that seemed important of this outcome was the fact that Zelena, or the Wicked Witch “stole” David’s courage by taking away the hilt of his sword once he faced his deepest fears. Regina makes it clear that this could be very powerful, so Zelena might need it for something, whatever she’s planning. And as everyone enters the storm cellar, they begin to assume that Rumple might be alive, we also see Regina smile because we know how powerful Rumple can be. Maybe she’s hopeful that Zelena can be defeated if they get Rumple on their side, maybe he knows what Zelena is planning and could be the possible answer to help defeat the Wicked Witch.. but we don’t know what’s going to happen. We still don’t even know where Neal is, how Zelena got the Dark One Dagger, or how Rumple is alive. so definitely a lot of things coming. So yeah, i went on a tangent, but basically the main points i took from this episode was (1) David is scared of being a new father, (2) Zelena “stole” David’s courage, while Regina makes it clear that this could be powerful, and (3) they may have found out that Rumple is alive. So yeah, I really did like the story of Rapunzel but I don’t think it was necessary to tell the story of the present timeline. Can’t wait until your next reaction ! :)
