I believe that everything Saffron/Bridget/Yolanda says is a straight up lie to further her own agenda. I have no reason to trust anything she says. So I don't believe the tears or the stories....none of it. I mean, Mal is the one who feeds her the whole is this your real husband line. I always took that as her taking that idea and running with it. I could be wrong, but I feel like they set her up as a character that IF we were ever going to learn something real about her, it would take a long time to get there. The first time I watched this ep I got so mad at Mal for falling for her tricks....again. But then we get the Inara twist, and it makes it all worth while. I always took Simon's moment with Jayne as him saying....look, know that if I wanted to, I could take you out easy.....but I'm telling you now that I won't (doctor's oath) so instead of us both constantly living in uncertainty and fear, why don't we both just drop it right here. So, menacing in a way, but still wanting closure. And after that, we get River's iconic line..."Plus, I can kill you with my brain." So good.

I like that Simon doesn’t threaten or try to scare Jayne. It would have been somewhat repetitive and too similar to the way Mal handled it. And It is consistent with Simon character, he is not a killer.

Yeah, the show is called "V". She was in the remade version.
