I made a whole lot of progress on Gorou this month, but I've been pretty bad about making posts about it so I hope yall don't mind being spammed over the next few dayssss

So this shirt. Hooooo boy. Where do I begin...

I started with a basic bodysuit pattern that I cropped at the waist. Once i made the adjustments to fit it to me just right, I started to map put the style lines with a marker.

The figured the sleeve was going to be the most difficult part. Crazy how when you cut a curve out of something and then go to sew the negative space back yo the curve, you're faced with two completely opposite facing curves that don't fit together by any stretch of the imagination. I had to snip the HELL out of the seem allowance, pin every quarter of an inch, and sew with the most patience and precision I ever have to get those nice curves on n the dark brown piece. I'm SO thankful for Genshin's asymmetric designs because I do not think I could have done that a second time, especially not matching.

In order for the arm hole to hold shape, I sewed in a piece of nude illusion mesh, then added the bands along the bottom.

Sewing together the chest and back of the was an entirely separate nightmare. Somehow the mesh panel in the back ended up way too low and to fix it, I would have to entirely remake the back.... which I might eventually... but for now, it will have to do.

To keep the shirt from sliding up every time I move my arms, I added 5 little snaps along a band at the bottom to snap to thr strap on the Archer sleeve. I have relatively good mobility and everything stays in place for the most part. All in all, I'm pretty dang proud of it!

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments!
