This was a really interesting episode! I'm enjoying watching things unfold with Darla, and I'm excited to see what will happen with that. It's always a treat to get to know a bit more about our characters, and I think there's so much we still don't yet know.

Have a most wonderful day, and take care 💜

Pop culture reference: When the police officer in the alley said in a slight falsetto, "Oh no, Mr. Bill!", you didn't appear to recognise the reference. So.... Saturday Night Live is a long running (40+ years and counting) sketch comedy show. One of the regular features back in the early years was a claymation cartoon 'Mr. Bill' who died in odd, horrific and (somewhat) amusing ways. The tag line when he was smashed or mutilated was "Oh no, Mr. Bill!".

Fun fact: This is the only Buffyverse episode that Joss Whedon directed, but didn't also write.

I really like this episode. I love it when fiction tackles these hard subject, if it's done well. This was done well in my opinion. And the actress, Daisy McCrackin, is great at showing both strength and vulnerability at the same time. I think it's telling that Wesley is the one to figure out her father was abusive, given what we know about his own family life. You're right, if Angel has been up for 3 hours and he got up at 10 PM it would be very late. When _do_ Cordelia and Wesley sleep? I never thought about that.

I love that Cordy mentioned sleep in this one! They seem to work around the clock!
