Update August 18th: The 8th edition is now up and running!

August 8th: For some reason, the request list has completely self-destructed! I will have a new one up tomorrow.

If you'd like to see most of the list for reference, the

6th edition is still up and running.

Sorry for this strange occurrence! I'll have everything fixed soon. xP

Hey Jonny :)my little bro turned my on to you yesterday, and I am already addicted to your music. Keep up the great work!

jonnyatma

Hey Reagan, thanks a million for becoming a Patron, glad to have you on board! :)

This song comes from my favorite game as a kid (which I feel is extremely underrated for both its competative aspects and story.) Has to be one of my favorite boss themes of all time! Just wanna shed some light on it. 1. Bullwort Battle Theme - Fossil Fighters (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD8cwjJ6Deg)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD8cwjJ6Deg)</a>2. Dynal Battle Theme - Fossil Fighters (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j6GcVVxwcY)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j6GcVVxwcY)</a> 3. Gunash Battle Theme - Fossil Fighters (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHORrWOvHzM)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHORrWOvHzM)</a> You've already covered a bunch of favorites (Especially "Galactica Knight" and "Cornered") Thanks for doing what you do! (Also an idea I had, for other guitar players, what if you made your tabs available to a certain tier?

jonnyatma

Hard choice, I'll go with Final Dreadnought 1 for now, some Freedom Planet would be pretty different to do.

jonnyatma

Pretty awesome soundtrack, I'll go with the Bullwort battle theme. Also, I've considered the tab thing but right now it's just a matter of having enough time to do it xD Maybe when we get higher up in the pledge amount.

Awesome, really excited for the drawing tomorrow! Totally understand. Right now I'm working my first full time job, on top of online schooling, on top of trying to learn guitar. I've loved rock/metal music ever since I was a little kid. Guitar Hero was my go-to when I wasn't playing the next game (huge fan of Kirby, any sort of RPG, and lots of Smash.) Went out to see the Generation Axe concert (Nuno Bettencourt, Zakk Wylde, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Tosin Abasi.) Seeing some of my favorite guitarists play live was INSANE. I went out to buy a guitar and started teaching myself the next day. I've been playing for about 2 months now and practice as much as I can. Try to get 2 hours a day minimum. Definitely not the best, not even that good, but I'm making what I feel like is significant progress for the amount of time I've had to work with. Anyways I had a few questions, if you don't mind :) 1) How do you put your songs together? Do you find the sheet music and transpose, or do you listen to the tracks repetitively and sort of work it out by ear/feel? It's my senior year, and some guys and I that play Smash 4 together were joking around about starting a band to go out in style, but after I saw your content, I believe it could become a reality! I would love to be able to work out some themes from Smash (and it's various participants) that we could play live. 2) Do you have any recommendations for someone of my limited experience? Not necessarily any practice drills, but specific techniques I should be drilling? (Right now I'm just working on basic cord transitions, moving forms about the neck, and my picking technique/speed.) I feel as though moving up and down the neck is much easier than side to side for me. Feel as though my greatest struggle is hammer-ons/pull-offs, they just don't sound right. I'm spending most of my focus on learning the neck itself, where notes belong and the patterns, that way I can learn some basic theory and start applying that to what I know, and potentially writing my own stuff :) 3) Gear. So I know this is extremely vague, but I know that you're in a somewhat similar situation. How do you budget what you plan to get? Right now I don't have much. I have a $70 Rouge Strat, with a super cheap practice amp, a couple budget pedals (overdrive, distortion, flanger), and a gig-bag with a big hole in the bottom. So what I'm wandering is what I should invest in... and how much I should save? I'm not gonna go the full online route, like you do, but I'm not just gonna gig either, I would like some sort of combination of the two. I have no experience with any of the electronic modeling or recording, so I'm not sure if I should even get into it? I've been researching some amps (right now I'm loving the ORANGE sound), but I'm still not quite sure quite how much to invest. The heads I'm looking at go anywhere from $200-$2000 dollars. From what I can tell, one of the micro heads should be just fine, but is the price at the opposite end of the spectrum really be worth it? That's just amp heads to take into consideration! There's better guitars, amp heads, pedals, etc... Right now I don't plan on trying to make a living off of music full time (I'm going to start pursuing a law degree next year, have I mentioned I love Phoenix Wright? May honestly be why I started down this path...) but I think it would be really cool to do off to the side. I work full time, but minimum wage, at Chik-fil-a. I just have so many factors to take into consideration that I don't even know where to begin. I feel like this is the biggest question I've been asking myself lately. I'm defiantly not expecting some sort of clear answer here, but maybe you could help start me on the right path? My apologies for the length of this post. Gaming and Metal are two of my many passions, and your passion really does show through the material you put out! If you love your job you won't work a day in your life ;) Keep on playing great music! I hope to be able to do the same one day. Rock on man! (Also forgot to mention that I'm super stoked to start a program at my local guitar store this week called Band Builders. Basically they match you with other musicians with similar skill levels, age, and musical tastes. After 5 weeks of practice your band gets to perform live in the stage room they have, so I feel like that will be a great place to start off! It does cost $175 (more than half of my paycheck), but that includes 5 lessons (which where I live cost $20 a piece, a DVD of the show, and I get to use the stores gear for the performance. Not sure if I should be saving my money instead... but I felt like it would be fun to try at least once. Is there sort of technique I should learn or gear I should get before that performance? Or should I just go with what I have, save what I have, and wait for something bigger and better?)

What's up Jonny? Been a fan since the first Mega Man Medley randomly popped up as a suggested song on YouTube over a year ago and finally got around to supporting you! Keep up the awesome work. As for the requests: 1) Nightmare Battle (Link's Awakening) - <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyLNQsGTby8" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyLNQsGTby8</a> 2) Critical Hit!! (Final Fantasy Legend II) - <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vZAq2miCs0" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vZAq2miCs0</a> Can you believe this was the normal battle theme and not a boss theme? 3) Gym Leader Battle! (Kanto) (Pokemon G/S/C) - <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbRe5a7Uz4I" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbRe5a7Uz4I</a> Can you tell I played the heck out of my Game Boy back in elementary/middle school?

Revle

Hey JONNY! Thank you very much for your guidance! Wished I'd done this earlier though, I missed the drawings. RIP Well, here goes nothing! 1. Port of Adia - Turok 2: Seeds of Evil / <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewFnCWyXyEk" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewFnCWyXyEk</a> 2. Space Pirates theme/battle - Metroid Prime / <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdebQ-y15Dg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdebQ-y15Dg</a> 3. Pinky's Revenge - Pac-Man World 2 / <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx2FaW2_4L4" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx2FaW2_4L4</a> Thanks again man! Oh and please ignore my idiocy and ignorance, I managed to figure out how stuff works.

You rock Jonny! I could only listen to your entire discography so many times at work before I felt like I had to pledge. Here are my picks. 1) Shovel Knight - The Fateful Return: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjMLTaKzTwY" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjMLTaKzTwY</a> 2) Lufia 2 - The Last Duel: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsIXvHteoK0" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsIXvHteoK0</a> - Curse of the Sinistrals version: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-i5utBqR-g" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-i5utBqR-g</a> 3) Mystical Ninja Staring Goemon - Goe Goe Spark: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuaQtmpObo0" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuaQtmpObo0</a>

THIS SONG IS JUST THE BEST, DON'T JUDGE ME. On that, have a great day :D

Geez, it has been a while since I've updated my list. (Not having internet for the summer SUCKS!) But I got a steady connection now for my computer so better late than never to update my top 3. 1. Mist Flow: F-zero GP Legend <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gmFdERev48" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gmFdERev48</a> Yes it's still my #1 pick, and yes it is still my favorite video game song of all time. It's fast, it's got potential for so many solos, and although I found 1 guitar remix of it <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gmFdERev48," rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gmFdERev48,</a> I think it deserves a bit more love. Think you can help? 2. Flash Train: Street fighter EX2 Plus <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN5398Ra2HU" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN5398Ra2HU</a> Despite not many views, I really liked your 'Nobody Catch Me' remix and I feel both her theme and this song have a bit in common. I actually found this song and loved it's electric and 90s feel to it. It's obscure and I found NO remixes of it. Sounds like your type of song. 3. Moonlight Melee: Skullgirls <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6THFGWLEn7w" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6THFGWLEn7w</a> OK let me explain. I am honestly putting this song on my list because really want to hear what exactly you do with it. I had to put a song that would combine the rhythmic jazz style with upbeat rock and roll. (That and it was either this or the Euro Passing breeze remix from Outrun2... I think you would have more fun with this). The reason it's #3 is that it would be really difficult to make a remix that pleases both genres of music. Think your up for the challenge? And that's it, Thanks again for reading all this, I'm happy to support you! You Rock Jonny Atma!!!

Already sent you all this info on Twitter, but since I now found this post, might as well gather everything here. Condensed all the info and linked proper videos for each of them. 1. Grand Blue by DEKU (Stage 7: Final boss fight from Sora) Music track: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VgxDQ6CK6M" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VgxDQ6CK6M</a> (lyrics in the description) Gameplay video + onscreen lyrics: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkjH9vs2ABc" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkjH9vs2ABc</a> Features: Techno'ish beat + lyrics Reason: Upon hearing your Sonic Fan cover (with lyrics), I figured you'd need more occasions to sing some lyrics (other than the Sonic soundtracks). As much as I'd like to hear Edobean on this one, I'd be really curious what your voice could do on this one. The lyrics are very simple also. 2. Dear Dragon by MusMus (Sweet Breaker's theme from 100% Orange Juice) Music Track: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtfI2_84FBA" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtfI2_84FBA</a> Gameplay video: <a href="https://youtu.be/q5_D6LKF45Q?t=26s" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/q5_D6LKF45Q?t=26s</a> Features: Some beat, Electric Guitar, Lots of fast paced piano Reason: This one is not one of my favorite, but I like it (a lot of the other tracks are techno oriented). I chose it because I wanted to see what you could do with that piano part which goes really fast at some point. 3. M. R. by Triodust (Miru's boss fight from Rabi-Ribi) Music track: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPKXsdhsiZc" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPKXsdhsiZc</a> Gameplay video: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3Z6Arjc6tE" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3Z6Arjc6tE</a> Features: Accelerated music based on boss' remaining health, organ. Reason: This had to be one of my favorite track for this game. Seeing how well you nailed the organ on the Castlevania cover, I got curious of what you could do with this one.

AlexSSZ

Been here for a little while, but never stopped myself to think of 3 tunes to submit for the request list.
