It could have been a typical evening scene for any average household:  The young couple sitting in the living room, watching television and reading the newspaper, while the baby sat in a playpen, occasionally rolling around or amusing itself the best it could with whatever toys were there.

A closer review would reveal that this was not all that typical, however.  The baby, though dressed in nothing but a diaper, was 19 years old, and it took every ounce of strength in her body to not throw an actual temper tantrum.  When she had asked her older sister for a place to stay while she fought with their parents, she never expected this to be the terms of her boarding.

"She looks miserable," said her sister's boyfriend, glancing from around the side of his newspaper.

"I'm sure she's feeling miserable right now.  She hasn't had a bowel movement all day in her diaper."

"I'm not a baby," she said from the playpen.  "This is ridiculous."

"There there, baby," her sister said in a condescending tone.  "Mother told me all about the awful things you said to her before she kicked you out.  You're welcome to stay, but don't think for a second that I'm going to treat you as anything older than a little toddler."

"C'mooooon," she whined.  "Please just let me get out of this thing.  I promise I'll be good. I'll apologize to Mom. Just let me out!"

"We can talk about that when I'm changing your diaper, sweetie.  After you've been a good girl and used it like you're supposed to."
