I don’t think she was trying to avoid getting pissed off, that’s just Nessa being Nessa - she’s always worked in the arcade since episode 1 (more or less) think you mentioned something about the trucks but couldn’t quite hear - I think that was just a side thing / former job. As you’ve gathered by now she’s done everything 😂

I just find this show so wholesome and realistic, the long scenes of random phone calls and conversations between characters that arent really jokes but are funny in their mundanity. Theres just something about the show that connects with me more than most shows do.

The song you recognised that Bryn and Nessa were singing was the same one that Mark left as a voicemail message for Sophie in Peep Show. Except he bottled out of singing "I love you" and went with "and then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like... I like you"

I think the original version was by Frank and Nancy Sinatra*, but it was probably the Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman cover in 2001 that brought it back into popular culture in the UK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f43nR8Wu_1Y *Ok I just looked it up on Wikipedia and apparently the Francy Sinatra version was a cover too! But that and the original were both from the 60s.
