I will do a separate Poll for Thursday's show spot, it will be posted Friday. This will give me the opportunity to add Max & Paddy to the poll. I removed it because of its poor performance. But as you all pointed out it most likely performed poorly because it was voted on before I watched Phoenix nights.

Hey, folks please read this before you post a question. There's a chance I have already answered the question here or in a previous post links are at the bottom.

You are allowed to vote on more than one show. Please pick all of the shows you would like to see.

Winner of the Previous Poll !!

Derek

Top 5 Shows from the Previous Poll

Gavin and Stacy 19 Episodes 467 Votes

After Life 12 Episodes 435 Votes

Porridge 21 Episodes 429 Votes

Come Fly With Me 6 Episodes 408 Votes

Royle Family 25 Episodes 371 Votes

Shows added to the Poll

The Mighty Boosh 20 Episodes +

Wallace & Gromit 22 Episodes +

  • 4 × 30 minutes
  • 1 × 85 minutes
  • 6 × 30-minute TV episodes
  • 10 × 2 minutes
  • 1 × 45-minute Proms special

Dead Pixels 12 Episodes +

The shows below were removed to make space for other requests. You will have a chance to vote on these shows in the next poll. They will take the place of the bottom four shows from this poll's results.

Because of the 25 slot limit on Patreon dropping 4 shows from the previous poll on (Poll Maker.com ) only made room for 3 new shows.

Since most of the requested shows were over 26 episodes it worked out fine. Just wanted to explain in case someone was curious why I removed 4 and only added 3.

The list of shows that were not added to the poll because they were too long are listed below. Remember these shows will have their own polls when Peep show and Only fools and Horses end.

The bottom 4 Shows from the Previous Poll

Murder In Successville  18 Episodes Removed -42 Votes

Dinnerladies 16 Episodes Removed- 40 Votes

Operation Good Guys  19 Episodes  Removed -30 Votes

Shows that were suggested but didn't meet the 26 episodes or less requirement.

Coupling 28 Episodes

Fresh Meat 30 Episodes

The Good Life 30 Episodes

Butterflies 30 Episodes

Inside No. 9 31 Episodes

The vicar of Dibley 31 Episodes

Misfits 37 episodes

Friday Night Dinner 37 Episodes

Plebs Episodes 38 Episodes

Outnumbered 40 Episodes

Men Behaving Badly 42 Episodes

Monty Python's Flying Circus 45 Episodes

Steptoe and Son 57 Episodes

Not going out 83 Episodes

Taskmaster 85 Episodes

My family 120 Episodes

Remember if it's a sketch show or more than 26 episodes it will not make it to the poll. There will be an opportunity to suggest longer shows when Peep Show and Only Fools ends.

If you were not around for the previous poll, sketch shows are no longer on the poll. Shows with 27 or more episodes will have a separate poll when a long-running show ends. If you have more questions, please use the 3 links below to read the previous poll posts.

Mike Doel

Spaced is great, makes loads of films references, especially Star Wars

Anonymous

No Max and Paddy? Or Young Ones?

Anonymous

I can't wait until Outnumbered is eligible. Josh you will absolutely love that =)

Steve

Everybody has their favourite don't they, but I am excited for when Friday Night Dinner is eligible in a poll. It might be a record haha.

Anonymous

Come on, Darkplace! Glad there won't be any pathetic poll rigging like last time.

Austin Stratton

Dont know if Taskmaster should have been removed.. you could definitely have done 1 season of 8 episodes.. you've kinda lumped them all in as if you have to watch all or nothing but they are seperate series with all different contestants.. imo anyhow

Anonymous

Shame Max and Paddy isn't on the list. Would have been perfect to slot those 6 episodes in once Phoenix Nights finished.

Sam Reeves

If I were you Josh I'd remove My Family altogether. 120 episodes is a lot and it's nowhere near as funny as Peep Show or Only Fools

Anonymous

we've got to vote The Mighty Boosh guys. josh youll love it :D

Anonymous

No Max and Paddy?

Anonymous

I hope misfits makes it onto one of these polls, don't know if it would win but you'd love it. Mixes super heroes with hillarious comedy

Anonymous

How the hell is Mr bean winning seriously wtf.

Anonymous

Please no Gavin and Stacey. James Cordon is so annoying. Lol

Anonymous

Fingers crossed for porridge 👍🏼👍🏼 Hope Open All Hours makes it on one day. David Jason and Ronnie Barker - classic. Enjoy the journey

Anonymous

voting man down because i neeeed to see some greg davies love😩 (taskmaster is SO good and also his comedy special “you magnificent beast”)

Anonymous

Porridge and After Life for me 🤞

Anonymous

I don't think I could cope with 13 Mr Bean episodes one after the other. they are all basically the same anyway.

Anonymous

Does the 22 episodes for Wallace and Gromit include the Shaun the Sheep shows or are there a bunch of W&G films I don't know about

Lovro

Thank you for including After Life, regardless if it wins or not

Tony Smyth

Thanks Austyn, I'd forgotten he was in it.... I need to review my vote

Anonymous

Josh there are probably only a few shows left worth watching tbh. The Royle Family is really scraping the barrel. Maybe you can start reacting to American TV shows?

Anonymous

Royal Family is really good. I think you’d love Jim and Nanna 😀

Anonymous

Dark place,only 6 episodes,get it done:)

Michael Oliver

We need to get goodnight sweetheart on

Anonymous

Royale Family is terrible. Gavin and Stacey too. Def should go with Filthy Rich and Catflap, Spaced, Alan Partridge, Darkplace. I would even go with Mr Bean over Royale Family. Every episode is arse, smoking, make fun of the teenage son, arse, arse, arse. There, I saved you thirty or so episodes of pish.

Anonymous

Also, aren't we missing League of Gentlemen? That must be worthy of a spot more than fecking Dinnerladies and Mr Bean :D

Gary Tamblyn

I think it’s the only time the BBC attempted a manufactured comedy where they employed a team of random writers, instead of the usual 1 or 2 that developed their own idea. The result was quantity over quality. It’s not awful, it had a good cast. The writing was just lowest common denominator bland and not really worth reacting to (IMHO).

Anonymous

I realise it's all just taste/opinion but I fully agree haha

Anonymous

Max & Paddy would be perfect for Thursdays slot. Its only 6 episodes. Shame it's not on the list. I've cast a few votes anyway. Looking forward to see what wins.

Cherzo

Max and Paddy should be watched after Phoenix Nights

Anonymous

Max and paddy would have been brilliant to follow phoenix nights dude

Anonymous

Hey Josh, I’m thrilled Wallace and Gromit is on the poll, thank you for adding it! I will say that if it does come to it, I would probably avoid the World of Invention series. I’ve not known much about it before but after some research, apparently it’s more of a series of science documentaries aimed at children that barely features the characters. So maybe inessential for reaction videos. Also if you’re going to do the Cracking Contraptions series, since they’re only about two minutes and there are ten in total, you might as well watch them all in one video. They are all in a compilation video on YouTube.

Anonymous

I don't think Josh will like taskmaster

Gary Tamblyn

If it’s not on the list because of poor past results, that may be due to nobody would vote for a sequel to another show without seeing the original first.

Anonymous

No ‘The Young Ones’? I think you’d have a good time with that show.

Anonymous

I would like him to do some Carry On films or Yes Minister, Rising Damp.

(Just) Steve

Game On needs adding next time. It's only 18 episodes.

Gary Tamblyn

That’s a good shout. Josh would like that as it stars Nicholas Lyndhurst and involves one of his favourite genres. I won’t mention what it is, as I’m not sure if that would be a spoiler.

Michael Harrop

Crossing everything I have for Gavin and Stacey this time 🙏

Anonymous

Surely it's Gavin and Stacey's time? Also, how is Black Books so popular??

Alexander Bond

Kinda annoying afterlife is already on top, we're already watching one Ricky Gervais show. I think you should have dropped this one for now. Afterlife and Derek and quite similar styles and sentiments, and some of the same actors.

Chris

Spaced still being overlooked is absolutely criminal

Alexander Bond

No, there's still half a dozen or so series still worth watching. Day Today Knowing me League of Gentlemen Porridge Spaced And a few other lesser ones.

HG

Definitely need to add One Foot in The Grave next time! :)

Anonymous

The might boosh or outnumbered!

Kieran B

Yeah it does feel very similar, although it’s even less of a comedy

Kieran B

It’s shocking, it’s like the perfect show for Josh - potentially

A

As much as I love Ricki Gervais it would be nice to have break and vary it up a bit. Some good contenders on there though look forward to whatever’s next 👍🏻🙂

Lee

Some Mothers Do Ave Em may eventually win I suppose...in 2026

Richard M

Come Fly With Me haha, what is wrong with people?!

Anonymous

Yes! Add One Foot in the Grave next time. The plotlines are so beautifully written and it deals with some dark topics very well.

OutlawStar

Yeah I don't get it. I liked black books back when it was on. I tried to watch it again recently and it hasn't aged well imo

Richard M

I had to tactically vote for that in an attempt to stop the absolutely atrocious Come Fly With Me form winning, which it still might.

Richard M

Too many episodes I think. Guessing that'll be in the mix when time to replace OFAH or Blackadder. EDIT: I meant to say Peep Show, not Blackadder

mrtheevilmage

voting for day today just cause Josh can get more of the Lore of the fictional career of Allan Partrich

Anonymous

Gavin and Stacey was just an English version of friends, this won’t be a good reaction I don’t think. I hope dark place makes it this time!

mrtheevilmage

Also why are so many people Gavin and stacey its about as entertaining as a coffee enema

Mick Mills

From the numbers it seems Come Fly With Me is destined to win at some point. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow...I'm not sure how it got around the Sketch Show rule but it has its moments and its only 6 episodes so no biggie. Voteed KMKY, Day Today, Porridge and The Thick of It. After Life is amazing, I would watch that again but probably not until Derek is finished. Not sure I could take a double dose of Ricky a week :) But that's the beauty of the internet, I can download it and watch it in any sequence I like so no complaints if it wins.

Contex - It's Just A Ride

I think we'll have to wait a while for boosh. Big shame, it looks abit too odd from the outside but I think I speak for most when I say once you give it a go it's a classic.

Anonymous

Coupling was more like the British version of Friends. Gavin & Stacey has a different vibe to Friends entirely. In my opinion anyway.

Anonymous

Even though it's not my choice I really don't get the hate towards Gavin & Stacey. There are far worse comedies out there. A particular airport based comedy on the poll comes to mind. Edit: Though I can imagine James Corden may be a significant factor towards the hate.

Anonymous

Shame we can't do men behaving badly... :(

Adam C Turek

To the Manor Born - who on Earth suggested that?

Gary Tamblyn

I think Josh would like that, especially knowing that he did all of his own stunts. Some of characters and situations are slightly dated, but Frank Spencer has timeless appeal. Probably a number of people voting here have never seen it.

Saul

I still think there should be a cut-off based on Metacritic ratings. Just to keep the real, absolute shite off the list. Probably more appropriate for the film votes, which always has some unbelievable stinkers listed - whereas the TV shows are generally of a higher standard, they just appeal to very different audiences depending on which show we're talking about. Eg. Gavin and Stacey is probably not voted for by the kind of person who watches Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, and vice versa, but I don't think either show is bad. Darkplace is a cult classic and Gavin And Stacey is excellent at what it does. I prefer the former, but I don't necessarily think GaS is awful, it's just not for me. I don't think any of the shows listed are truly awful. Well, apart from Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. And Come Fly With Me seemed pretty terrible when I watched a bit of an episode. But mostly all I can say is that the show really isn't to my taste. ...Whereas Kevin And Perry go Large is just a fucking abomination. And quite a lot of the movies that get listed are just really, really bad, just flat out terrible.

Anonymous

I agree, it's 42 episodes so won't be an option until OFAH, Red Dwarf and Peep Show are finished and one of those slots needs filling. Though it's not as violent as Bottom it does contain a lot of similar humour. I think Josh will love it.

Anonymous

No this one's good. In THIS one he explains why he's an atheist and what that means to him.

Tony Smyth

I agree. We need a DOWNVOTE just as much as we need an UPVOTE. eg. Mr. Bean. It isn't a personality contest. We shouldn't have to suffer the dregs of any artist's career before we move on to something better, [And if you didn't read that in Blackadder's voice please do me the favour of reading it again... From the beginning... Hurry up...] And NO, I'm not being sarcastic.. I'm too drunk to be sarcastic.

Teddy Alison

Looks like come fly with me is gonna get done again. Eager for this to be reacted to. Soon enough it will come. For now I am enjoying the other shows. Also would love to see porridge win at some point. Also slightly disappointed Sick of it was removed from the polls, I love some Karl Pilkington. EDIT: I assume Filthy Rich and Catflap gets low votes because not a lot of people have seen it before. Despite this I think it’s another Rik and Ade masterclass. Bottom would still be my fave but it’s definitely still got that feeling to it

Steve King

Still no "House of Fools" on the list :(

Tony Smyth

STFU Steve. You're going to break The Internet if you carry on like this. House Of Fools is supposed to be a secret between me, you, Vic Reeves, Bob Mortimer, Dan Skinner (AKA Angelous), Morweena Banks, and that guy from Toast of London. Not Clem Fandango, the other one. No, not him, the other guy...

Anonymous

I’m ready for some tears if after life gets it

Keithy

Some of you seem to want everyday to be a show/movie you love. Since Ive been subbed the Only shows I've watched have been OFAH, Inbetweeners, Bottom and Blackadder and maybe 2-3 movies... As a lot of the stuff that wins the polls here I really dislike. Y'all just need to wait your turn and I'm sure Josh will get to the shows you love eventually, there is no hurry. Personally looking forward to My Family,Him&Her and Misfits all of which will be be a while before Josh gets around to viewing but until then just enjoy what we have :) not hating but patience is a great thing guys.

Anonymous

Big Gervais fan here ... getting sick of him getting so many votes! Don't understand why it's almost a given that his works will automatically place so high, with The Office and Extras done, and Derek currently taking a slot, we really need something new to be given a chance. I want to state that the Extras reactions and The Office reactions were two of my favourites to see on here, I was excited for Josh to watch those finales, but for Gervais to be on twice a week is too much! especially when there's so much good stuff being overlooked. I'd almost consider the idea of leaving After Life off the polls until Derek's over, but at this stage I'd be happy enough for it to be voted in just so we can get it over with, and 12 weeks later something new and more original can have a chance.

Anonymous

Hey Josh, as you’ve added come fly with me which is more of a fly on the wall show with funny moments maybe you could add Bad Lads Army to your next list? It’s basically young wannabe criminals sent off to do 1950’s style military training (national service ) It’s all on YouTube and the clips are very popular.

Anonymous

Hoping for Gavin & Stacey, Black Books or Spaced. After Life is worth a watch, but had it not been for The Office & Extras, I don’t think Gervais’ other sitcoms would be topping any polls.

Anonymous

Hey Josh, could I suggest the following shows for future polls? Some of them have been on the polls before and been removed. Anyway, I'd like to suggest: Green Wing, Nighty Night, Life's Too Short, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge, Peter Kay's Car Share, and Game On.

Anonymous

The only good thing about Afterlife is the outtakes.

Anonymous

I liked Gavin and Stacy but I am done with James Corden, he really turned out to be a prick and I can't watch anything with him in it anymore.

Ash Jeffries

So happy The League of Gentlemen is doing so well! It's a brilliant series! :-)

Z is for Zed

I like Office, Extras and Life's Too Short, but didn't watch Afterlife because the people who recommend it most strongly are the Derek fans. Is it more of the same emotional bumfluff with an occasional laugh or is it predominantly comedy?

Z is for Zed

I had completely forgotten Todd Margaret and the pilot came back to me, nice.

Hesketh

Yes, I agree, Sell out! It is a good show though

Z is for Zed

I'm interested to see how much lower the final totals for Gavin & Stacey and Afterlife are at the end of this poll, that off-patreon poll was about 450 votes each for those two...

Anonymous

It's utterly meaningless. TLOG has been in the polls for so fucking long, as have other innovative classics such as Spaced, and Dark Place etc., but they never win, as more and more mainstream comedies make an appearance. Look at what is before TLOG on the list: Come Fly With Me, After Life, and Gavin and Stacy. If it wasn't for Red Dwarf and Peep Show I'd bail ship. I think being able to vote for as many shows as you want in the polls significantly dilutes the outcome, as too many mediocre shows end up getting too may votes.

Gary Tamblyn

Binge watched Dead Pixels a couple of months ago, really wanted to like it. The idea was good but the writing wasn’t quite there. However It’s definitely good to see original ideas from young writers. It gives a bit of hope for the future.

NEXUS

About time Trigger happy TV popped up on these lists too.

Luke Barron

Game On! is a good one to add to the lists too. it's very 90's but it's still hilarious.

Anonymous

Bit gutted that early doors looks like it'll be gone, it's a Craig cash classic, plus one of Ewan McGregor's first roles in tv

AfterWorkReactions

That honestly sounds awesome man. I have only had a few requests but I am sure it will win eventually, I just try to put the more requested show first.

AfterWorkReactions

Thanks bud I do really want to check it out! If it doesn't win this one I am sure it will at some point because I have had alot of requests for it.

Anonymous

Surprised no-one mentioned Bad Education yet, that show is 1000x funnier than Fresh Meat.

Anonymous

I second Young Ones, but I have a feeling he ran out of space on the Poll :( (would love to see it on Friday's poll tho) Just checked and it was an option two polls back (second poll link at the bottom of the post), I do hope to see its return on Friday.

Anonymous

Quite surprised by the popularity of Gavin and Stacey. Could never get into it myself. would love Spaced to win but I guess that'll be for another day!

Anonymous

So annoying afterlife is terrible, it needs to be come fly with me. Want to see come fly with me, little Britain, mr bean, one foot in the grave, keeping up appearances, vicar of dibley, league of gentlemen, inside number 9, psychoville, anything else is pointless really.

Anonymous

Yeah I have no idea why gavin and stacey is so popular here.

Gary Tamblyn

I believe it gets quite high viewing figures when it’s on. The 2019 Christmas special got 11.6 million viewers, so I’m not surprised the poll reflects that. Think we just need to take it on the chin if it wins. 🙂

Ash Jeffries

NOT Little Britain but otherwise, I completely agree. :p I don't get the love for After Life either. I can take or leave CFWM - it is much better than Little Britain in fairness though - not as lazy and "gross out". One Foot in the Grave is over 25 episodes so will be part of another poll I hope. My all time favourite British sitcom I think. Inside No. 9 is superb, definitely up for Josh watching that. Same for The League of Gentlemen. Warped, clever, scary and hysterically funny.

Anonymous

I would highly recommend doing twice as many reactions and either having separate channels or playlists or having half of the week on old classic comedies and the other half for the more recent ones, as theres quite a devide in your viewers tastes I think. Lots of people are feeling bad that the older ones they want to see keep coming short of winning.

Andrew

I would highly recommend that you stop being a cry baby

Mark McKeown

It's a vote, if your show loses then it's because not enough people want it. Also suggesting Josh does twice as many reactions is ridiculous, how much time do you think he has in his day?

Daryl

I don't I learn. Why do I bother to read these poll comments. 🤣 If whingeing was an Olympic sport. All I see is quivering bottom lips. Expressive crossed arms in a looped, life's not fair repetitive motion. Little feet stomping around in little wellington boots. 🤣

Anonymous

He included the Cracking Contraptions shorts, World of Invention and a 45 minute special I’ve never heard of. If W&G wins a future poll, I think Josh should skip the latter two entirely and do Cracking Contraptions in one video.

Anonymous

Green Wing has fewer than 27 episodes (y)

Jay

Like all true democratic votes, people only love democracy when it's catered to them.

Jay

I would love to see Green Wing added. That's one series I never got around to seeing, despite hearing great things about it.

Anonymous

House of fools is decent

Anonymous

Wait...there are 22 episodes of Wallace & Gromit? I thought there was only three!

Anonymous

Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads is another favourite. It's early 70s but still resonates nicely with modern times. I would suggest ignoring The Likely Lads from the 60s though, it is very much of it's time.

Kieran B

Out of curiosity as most shows that are suggested (or at least selected) so far have finished, what happens when say Afterlife wins - presumably watch series 1 and 2 and then have another vote for series 3 when that’s aired?

Kieran B

There’s 5 films I think, the 3 classics then the 2 newer ones “Wererabbit” and “Loaf and Death” - not sure what the other ones are

Anonymous

Lifes too short should be getting a mention!

Gary Tamblyn

Good Point. The lists should probably only comprise shows that have reached the end of their run. How can anyone know if a show is worth reacting to, if it isn’t finished yet.

Stuart Fewtrell

Looks like I’m outvoted once again 😐

Danny

Dunno why people want to watch Afterlife , it's ongoing series! On top of that it's like Derek, so too samey to be watching at same time. It's obvious why it's getting votes though, because Come Fly With Me,League of Gentlemen, Gavin and Stacey and Royale Family are so damn unpopular! So it's all counter votes as an alternative. Shame they didn't vote Mr Bean, as it's a different kind of comedy and far far more popular. Mr Bean is a worldwide phenomenon

Anonymous

You should do a poll for shit comedies like The Vicar of Dibley, Absolutely Fabulous, Gavin and Stacey, Come Fly With Me, Outnumbered, The Royale Family and the like and a poll for proper comedies so at least you will get to experience some decent ones like Bottle Boys and Cannon and Ball. Just saying is all, just saying.
