This was a good final episode to wrap up the show I really enjoyed it. My favorite act was Brittany Spears and Eminem especially when the old people kept standing up lol. I'm guessing the Max and Paddy show follows their RV adventures while escaping assassination. I look forward to seeing the results of the next poll. Maybe Max and Paddy will win who knows.

The guy singing "Do you wanna be in my gang" was impersonating Gary Glitter, a famous British singer who was outed as a pedophile in the 2000's hence the crowds silence.

If you google "Gary Glitter criminal charges", you'll quickly find out why the audience was so stone faced and cheered when Spencer fell off the stage...

When Den Perry sets fire to the club, Paddy puts his hair spray in the trash can before seeing his girlfriend. This is the same trash can as the one Den throws his cigar into. One of the many examples of why this show gets better with every watch, so many subtle jokes too!

There is a prequel to phoenix nights. It is episode 1 of 'That Peter Kay thing' called in the club. It's about when Brian Potter owned the Neptune club. There's only 6 episodes of that show and it's fairly decent. Prob worth sticking it in the next poll.

You'll find people divided on Max & Paddy's spin-off here. If I'm not mistaken, while this show was written by Peter Kay and Dave Spikey, the spin-off was written by Kay only. The humour is different and, in a way, more "broad" if that makes sense. I'm not a fan, while other people think it's better than Phoenix Nights.

That's true, I like them both, but generally I find something to enjoy in most comedies whether broad, surreal or more cerebral. Draw the line at Mrs Brown's Boys though. Neil Fitzmaurice also wrote Phoenix Nights with Peter and Dave

Not sure if you've ever picked up on this or been told before. However, Ray Von's actor is Geoff in Peep Show. Also, Alan's actor plays Mark's racist friend Daryl in an episode too
