There were mixed reviews in regards to this episode, count me in with the people who enjoyed it. I know some of you are like duh of course you liked it lol. I mentioned this while watching Red Dwarf a few times. I love time travel episodes they are usually pretty entertaining. I thought this was really wacky and funny, I enjoyed it a lot. I covered most of what I wanted to cover at the end of the video.

I always enjoyed this one too. The history is extremely shaky of course, but then it always was; that was never the point of the show. It was funny, Blackadder and Baldrick were their usual selves, honestly not sure what else you can ask for. I am super glad you enjoyed it Josh!

Don’t have Sky so never seen that before, that was pretty good. They got all the cast back together, It’s a shame they didn’t make a full Black Adder Film back then, think that would have worked well.

I’ve always enjoyed this one too, a mate of mine had recorded off Sky which is how I saw it, and there was a documentary about the Harlem Globetrotters after it on the VHS (it was a while ago). Still kind of associate the two in my head still...

I always like this to, I wish they made longer. Make it an hour maybe, spend more time in certain times. They could get captured or whatever and got to get the time machine back, easy stuff to flesh it out into a proper movie

The cunning fox was a perfect call back. It was the final exchange between Blackadder and Baldrick before they went into battle in Blackadder Goes Forth, meaning they couldn't carry out his cunning plan. So this time they get to carry out the cunning plan and get the happy ending

Oh and as you mentioned it Kenneth Brannagh's Hamlet is a beast of a movie if you like that genre. 4 hours long with a star studded cast with the likes of Kenneth Brannagh, Kate Winslet, Robin Williams, Charlton Heston , Derek Jacobi, Judi Dench,Brian Blessed, Richard Attenborough and many many more. Just a monster cast of stars

I like this one too! I thought the whole thing was very well constructed. Pretty much a perfect reunion show. The production values are also shockingly good for British tv.

At the time this came out, the only way to see it was by visiting the newly opened Millennium Dome! So after a ten year wait for any new Blackadder and having to visit a specific cinema to see it, there was a lot of hype and expectations built up for Back and Forth, which may have led to the mixed reviews. By the way, that was Colin Firth as Shakespeare, who you may know as Harry from Kingsman!

I think maybe one of the reason for the poor receptions for this over here was it was a 10 year wait between blackadder goes forth and this so the hype was huge. I guess if you are watching it cold one after the other expectation wouldnt be quite as high, glad you enjoyed it though
