Cool video bro

Mizz141

I had to click with that description

Anonymous

Before show

Anonymous

Welcome to the before show

Anonymous

Nice vid man!

Anonymous

one damn pretty disk

Anonymous

That was the nicest aaa battery I've ever heard. It felt so familiar, yet so strange

Anonymous

Didnt the Modpod show up under "devices with removable storage" on the EeePeeCee?

Anonymous

I get that it’s an original nugget, but if there was ever a nugget that needed 1 gritting, it’s this nugget.

Anonymous

Are Aussie AAAs different from US AAAs?

Anonymous

that SIXTY SONG man. really felt that

Anonymous

To quote a great pig, “Saaaaad”

Anonymous

when i saw the video name on my phone i thought it was going to be something like shekpod 2: electric boogaloo. but this is amazing (amazing disk as well)

Anonymous

Ntp devices show up under windows media player too

Anonymous

m8, you should have scrolled down in My Computer on the EeePeeCee, you would have found the CD at the very least. The modPod doesn't want to talk to the Mac because it seems like it's not a normal USB mass storage flash disk type of thing, rather it uses MTP, which works on Windows but requires extra software on Mac.

Marcel de Jong

That's where I would expect it too. That's an mtp device, it won't show up as an actual drive. Mtp standing for media transfer protocol in all its idiotic glory as a sidestep to the picture transfer protocol of early digital cameras, so that you couldn't use it for storage of other stuff, only the media the device was intended for and capable of reading.

Anonymous

the stink phones lived. I'm surprised.

Anonymous

MTP is a lovely mess that even modern Android uses. Works with everything, yet also works with nothing. But you should've tried scrolling down a bit. Or you can sometimes force MTP nuggs (tried this with some Walkmans) to act as regular USB storage by going into device manager and reinstalling the driver, selecting USB storage instead of MTP.

Anonymous

send me a youtube playlist of the vids

Alan Duhamel

was this better or worse than the Batman MP3 that had nothing in it?

Anonymous

did u try playing it on the device and using a capture card? cant do scarlet fire but we can get that juicy recording

Anonymous

Well, it does say for Windows 98, and I know most people were using XP by that point, if not the dreaded Vista.

Anonymous

Yeah it's almost like they don't want it to work 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Anonymous

Ye. It must end up in YT compilation at some point, cause it's glorious.

Anonymous

Ahh depressing as all hell

Anonymous

I was hoping the first time he clicked on the D drive it was the only time because the CD was below it, then my disappointment was confirmed. The nugget could have had its scarlet fire glory, I assume anyway.

SoriMasn

Definitely have to go back to the ePC and click on the disk rather than the disk drive. We need scarlet fire on the mod pod.

Anonymous

Heyo, just wanted to say: The Skullcandy Crushers have a huge design flaw in that they break when used too much. The hinge retainer plastic piece is under stress whenever you're wearing them. This is a known issue (see Amazon reviews) and Skullcandy won't repair/replace. Only reason I got my money back was because I didn't buy directly from them.

Anonymous

Hate to be that guy, but along with the crushers you reviewed, have you seen the crusher evo? They are pretty much the improved model, and somehow the bass is much improved over the 2016 crushers.

Anonymous

I had the Crushers at one point and what I remember the most is how many connectivity issues they had, maybe I just got a dud but they cut out so often they we’re almost unusable! Really sucks cause they Were my gym headphones, and obviously you’re not gonna want wired headphones for the gym.

Thomas Jones

The feeling of joy I get whenever I see you upload is just too notch. You're like a dopamine hit.

Anonymous

Oh man, what an uncooperative nug :/

Anonymous

One, "aaah" battery.

Anonymous

I think you had to scroll down in windows

Anonymous

All you had to do was to re-plug it and go through the stupid install-schenanigans.

Anonymous

It kinda looks like a chicken nugget

Anonymous

Yeah, this is what happened to mine. I use the Evos now, and those seem to have fixed the hinge issue. They also fit better, so that's a plus.

Ivotron

yeah that "Disk D:" Drive was a second Harddrive/partition

Anonymous

The Craig disc finally has a rival!

Steen Schütt

You were clicking a second hard drive partition on the eePC, the disc drive was further down the list 😂

Anonymous

Hahaha what a stinky nugget but for once you didn't yell "AAA"

Anonymous

i couldn't stop laughing at the one 𝓐𝓐𝓐 part

Anonymous

It's not your fault that hippie nugget is cheap and doesn't work.

Michael Boehme

Can't move files on or off and it still didn't meet the one grit? You've gone soft.

Anonymous

I can’t be the only one who when he said he couldn’t get the recording off of it,please tell me I’m not the only one who thought he 1gritted it

Anonymous

DankPods, I think you had scroll down a little in the "My Computer" window. Because I noticed something under removable storage

Anonymous

Please make that font on the packaging go away.

Anonymous

Can you just verify for me that your external disk drive actually works? Try a windows xp laptop that has a CD drive. I will mail you one, I'll even load it up with an SSD so that it might actually survive the trip, too. lol

Anonymous

It was recognized by the EeePC, you just didn't scroll the device list far enough to see it under "Devices with Removable Storage", due to it being a Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) device it doesn't just mount as a disk drive like so many of the other nuggets you've looked at. Probably not worth digging this one back out from wherever you've stashed it after making this video, but perhaps make a note to check for other connected devices if an old MP3 player doesn't just show up as a disk drive, it may be an MTP device that won't show up in the disk drives section. That may also be why it wasn't recognized by the Mac.

Anonymous

That moment when you're looking for CD contents on a *local hard drive*, gosh that made me unreasonably mad

Anonymous

CD and mp3 player probably did show up in "My computer", he just had to scroll it down a bit

Empty Vessel

Brother. It would be under "Devices with Removable Storage", not "Hard Disk Drives"

Anonymous

that is the problem with the players in those days.. MTP sucks and has so much limitiations. The North American ones were the worst. Samsungs were really bad. but if you could get the UK, World, or the KR firmware that used UMS, man they were so good. played in order of file name, showed up as a drive, worked on anything...

Anonymous

oh my.

Anonymous

Poor 1 grit didn't get to have any fun. Missing the mojo

Anonymous

The most serene AAA i’ve heard

Anonymous

scroll!!!

Anonymous

you know it's from the early 2000s those floral designs scream Y2K

Anonymous

While others have posted solutions I was going for a more old school solution... Couldn't you just play the recording through the device and record that? ah well, its a nugget

Anonymous

Just bought some KZ ZSN Pro's, cant wait to try them when they arrive at the mail. thx for the recommendation Dank!

Anonymous

I still miss the Mojo... :(

Carrow

𝓐𝓐𝓐

Samuel Chavez

umm, I just found this while I was doing my research on 1 grit sandpaper. dankpods.fandom.com/wiki/Dankpods_Wiki

Anonymous

i like how "aaa" in cursive is just you moaning

Anonymous

Well, at least it didn't get the 1-grit, so maybe Mr. Dank can try and go somewhere other than the D drive later on :x

Anonymous

Mate, that D drive was another partition on the hard drive! You had to scroll a bit further down in order to see the removable drives — the CD and possibly the ModPod

Anonymous

Hey, I think the CD was chopped off of the bottom of the screen. If you’d scrolled down a little bit, you might’ve been able to find something. :)

Anonymous

I know right? I wanna know what that recording sounds like :P

Anonymous

Part of me wonders if the Mod it's referring to is the style of mod. That would explain the anesthetic but it's a little random to see a mp3 player from 06 trying to emulate a style from the 60s lol

Anonymous

The woman on the cover looks like Selena Gomez's stunt double trying to blow a bubble with bubblegum.

Anonymous

The "AAA" got me.

Anonymous

MTP devices didn't work well with Windows XP, but I'm sure on a Windows 10, you would have been able to see its content

Anonymous

hey on your crusher video you bought the wrong crushers, the crusher wireless are an older model, the crusher evo and crusher anc are the newest models, having made the same mistake myself and buying and returning the crusher wireless, the anc and evo models are MILES better than the crusher wireless cant really explain how, the bass is not nearly as "stinky" if that makes any sense, would love you to cover the evo or anc, very good buy for bassheads in my opinion

Anonymous

You kept opening your local disk (D:\), your CD drive was lower!!!!!!!!!!!!! It may have worked!

Anonymous

ModPodge more like. Can't believe no one bought it

Scott Vogel

I am still subscribing. You'll knock it out of the park with the Mod Pod 2.

Anonymous

You could have just played back the recording through the headphone output

Anonymous

I paused at 2:36 and spent 29 minutes researching cromulent and then thinking of ways to use it irl.

Anonymous

Man can i just say how much i absolutley adore your content. I didnt realize how much till today i was having a rather harsh day at work and i saw you had uploaded a video and i dqmn near lit up. Thank you for your work i super appreciate it.

Anonymous

I saw a disk icon below the drives maybe could be that?

Anonymous

Dankpods ASMR when

Anonymous

You should of given it the 1grit.

Anonymous

unsubbed.

Anonymous

You see a nugget, I see a stop watch.

Anonymous

so bad i hit dislike twice

Anonymous

Hey man, some tubers have a Patreon, another donation/payment service, youtube ads and sponsors, so I'm pretty sure you're golden.

Anonymous

Btw, I saw you clicking on D, which is a partition of the Hard Drive on Windows (it can be called other things, by default it's D) and the CD/DVD drive appeared to be below that, not properly visible.

Anonymous

128kbps? Wow that's garbage for music.

Anonymous

Wade you did that poor MP3 player dirty! Please try again 😂 but dw I’ll literally always be paying that 1 dollar 💵

YamiSpyro

Keep my single kiwi you beautiful aussie bugger

Anonymous

Nothing good in my life has ever been achieved by clicking D:\

Anonymous

This thing is literally older than me I was born in 2010

Anonymous

Lmaoo I play alto sax in a jazz band and Perdido is in our lineup 😂😂👌

Anonymous

The way the thing is packaged reminds me of a sex toy. Her face isn't helping.

Anonymous

we need to get you a windows 98 pc somehow

Anonymous

It seems like the nugget uses the MTP protocol to talk to PC's, a protocol meant to easily transfer media onto digital media players. Unfortunately, neither Mac OS (in any version AFAIK) nor Windows XP natively support MTP, for Mac OS you need a certain driver and for Windows XP you'll need at least Windows Media Player 10 though even then I've had lackluster experiences. It should, however, work natively on Windows Vista and upwards all the way to 10. Maybe something to keep in mind for future players that don't seem to be showing up even if they should!

The Duke of Earl

I was literally shouting at my computer to scroll down to see removable devices!!!!

Anonymous

I love the voice he uses when he talked to the Perccells

Life

Unsubbed. Could not even get the recording off the ModPod. ;v

Anonymous

Literally scroll down, it's in removable devices lol

Simon Stewart

Cheap shit uses a Burned CD - It's in Removeable Devices! Aaaaaahhhhh

Anonymous

removable devices gg

Anonymous

There's got to be some sort of craft project you could do with all those extra usb nugget cables.

Anonymous

"I won't see you next time" come on mate you know you will.

Anonymous

Same.. I was like, OMG SCROLL DOWN, JUST SCROLL.. OMG lol

Anonymous

I've never seen an S1MP3 player (the interface screams Actions ATJ2085 based player - AKA the S1MP3 player) use anything other than FAT32, this sounds more like a dud cable than anything else.

CnP x

Sometimes with old driver CDs you can go into the start menu, control panel then device manager. Have the CD in and the MP3 player (Or what ever device you wanna install) Then select the device right click update driver then select the root as the cd. The software isn't part of the driver and the driver files are just in a folder on the CD.

Anonymous

blow da hed ph a h on ees mate

Anonymous

kill em

Anonymous

Fun fact: I’m a patron but I accidentally forgot to subscribe to the actual channel lol

Anonymous

I was hoping to see this get 1 gritted...

Anonymous

I mean nobody is reading that anyways but why didn’t you just plugged in an aux cable and played that recording? You could have put it into the microphone port on your computer and recorded it!

Anonymous

Hey someone just offered me a Fiio x5 3 for a trade for an Xbox one X. Should I do it?

Ty34er

So we are ignoring the section which stated "Devices with Removable Storage"?

Anonymous

Maybe it's time to send you to one of those "How to operate a computer" classes meant for elders.

Anonymous

I appreciate the part when You say "cant wait to linux take over for you", that satisfied the linux nerd inside of me

Anonymous

What happened to the chord mojo???

Anonymous

Once you get the time you should hit up other music YouTubers and critique their audio setups for fun and give them recommendations based on what they like and do. Call it DankCribs

Anonymous

i almost spit my water out at the "1 aaa battery required" bit

Anonymous

nevermind i spat my water out at the "60 SONG" bit

Anonymous

"MTP" stands for "Media Transfer Protocol," which how media devices communicate with computers over USB. There was a section in File Explorer on the Eee PC that said "Devices with Removable Storage," so I think it was under there. No idea why it wouldn't work with the Mac though.

Anonymous

I really wanted to see that get the 1 grit!

Anonymous

Every time he brings out the Toledo scissors I think of that Eminem lyric “ holy Toledo it’s miss Ohio “

Anonymous

Unfortunately, macOS doesn't work with MTP out of the box. i use Android (which uses MTP for 4.1+) with a Mac, And I need to use third party application to transfer files into one.

Anonymous

Ah yes, a tamagotchi. Remember them well 🤣

Anonymous

oh come on, either let windows find drivers from the cd or at least try to open it yourself, you just needed to scroll down a little.... tbh I kinda feel like youre giving up on a lot of these nuggets too fast sometimes

Anonymous

Surprised it didn't get 1 gritted

Anonymous

But why? All we needed was Craig

Anonymous

the AAA in aesthetic killed me laughing

Anonymous

60 song

Anonymous

2006...still giving out win 98 drivers

Anonymous

Mod podge nah... It's MOD POD

Anonymous

1:58 - Wade has an aneurysm

Anonymous

omg scroll down, check at "removable drives"

Blue

The disk was right there.

Anonymous

he is aussie they sometimes cant pronounce things like people in the US

Anonymous

Should have gotten the one grit

Anonymous

"...between can a pain in the butt"

larsloveslegos

Maybe the USB cable from this nugget would work in the garage door opener

Anonymous

the “thanks boys” in that seemingly ASMR voice really gets me lmao

Anonymous

i’m genuinely surprised this isn’t marketed as an “ipod for girls” considering it was 2006

Anonymous

the "aaahhs" killed me lmao

HorizontalVertigo

Oh so that's what the Toledo tune was! Nice, I always got time for some Duke!

Anonymous
