Marcel's relationship with both Klaus and Elijah is SO complicated. Despite EVERYTHING he's always going to love them. He's definitely got a lot of anger towards them both, and he definitely still kinda hates Elijah. But he said it about Klaus last episode that he can't hate someone he spent so long loving, and I think that applies to Elijah too. And that's what makes it so painful for him, he DOES still love them both. But he's also really hurt and has been put through a lot by them. But at the end of the day, they are his family and he does love them and doesn't really want them dead. Even Elijah. He definitely did at the end of last Season, but I truly think that if Elijah had actually died, Marcel would've eventually felt upset over it. And there are many reasons he didn't kill Klaus when he had the chance. Then this episode he refuses to let Davina kill either one of them. He loves them. And I think that despite how hurt and angry he is at Elijah for killing him, he does kinda understand it. Does that make it okay? No. Does that mean he forgives him? No way. But I think there's this part of him that DOES understand why he did it. And I think Elijah saying he never forgave himself meant a lot to Marcel and is a big part of the reason he wouldn't let Davina kill him either. He realised that there is still love there, it's just really complicated. I do love Klaus' comment to Elijah though "It's time we start building bridges instead of throwing people off them." I just like that little confirmation that Klaus IS still pissed about that and actually kinda sides with Marcel a bit. Not to the point of letting Elijah die or anything, but he's NOT okay with what happened on that bridge. (It still kills me that Marcel doesn't know what Klaus' reaction was to that, or that he said no to what Freya and Elijah did to Davina... I just think he'd probably find some peace in that information...) And yes! Klaus is growing! He's not planning on killing Hope's boyfriends! Just compelling them! That's better than what Rebekah got! And I love how he and Hayley are such a team now, especially when it comes to Hope! I'll never get tired of that! <333 I love how excited you were to see Alaric though! :D
