Loved your reaction. Can’t believe you’re already at season three.

I love this episode. The flashbacks really are so good. The ones from that time period are some of my favourites. It's so sad though, seeing Klaus in those early years of being a vampire, still not comfortable with the killing, still very innocent and non confrontational. I mean, at this point not only are they all new to being vampires, but the curse repressing his werewolf side is still a fresh wound too. That betrayal from Esther, him killing her. It's really interesting though, seeing him be the one clearly most uncomfortable with the killing. Like, even Finn seemed slightly more okay with it. He wasn't thrilled, but he wasn't upset by it the way Klaus was. And then Klaus being the one to suggest a VOTE to decide what to do about Lucien, then him being the deciding vote of whether they kill him or let him live and he chooses to let him live. It kinda makes you think, how upsetting it must've been for his siblings when they started noticing the changes in him. They would've watched him go from the sweetest of them all, the one who just wanted peace, to the brutal and manipulative monster who's first instinct was violence and war he became. But watching him back in those days, it's honestly no wonder Elijah was always so determined to redeem him and so protective of him. Despite how long Klaus has been a monster, Elijah still looks at him and sees his little brother who hated violence. Also, I'm so glad you pointed out everyone's personalities in that opening scene and how Klaus was just with the horses. I love that that's something they kept, that Klaus likes horses. Something I really like, it seems small but in my opinion is actually quite big. The fact that Lucien calls him Nik. It just feels slightly more intimate. It's a nickname that his younger siblings use. A few others have occasionally, but not as much.

The war of the sire-lines is HERE! ...The Originals is always awesome, this season is nonetheless everything we wanted to see, the main concept behind this season is a cohesive whole that truly deepens the story and makes sense, can't wait for the rest!

Love the brutal honesty between Camille and Klaus, their chemistry is insane, I can't believe there was once a time I didn't ship them

This is why I can’t stand davina she will tell any and everybody that Kol is better than the rest of the family is why many can’t stand her. Kol was always the worst after him I’d put Red Door Elijah. They after all have Mikael’s genes those two are the Nature and Klaus is the Nurture part of that coin.
