That boxing training scene between Peyton and Derek puts things into perspective. That look back at all the chaos that went on in Peyton's life along with the snide comments Brooke made about said chaos is why I couldn't sympathize with Brooke back then. I don't care if she lost her boyfriend, there isn't a reason in the world to make fun of someone's family dying or being stalked.

I Am Not Chamari

Yeah, Brooke this season has always been a little rough, especially with people defending her. I get that she’s a lot of people’s favorite character and I love her too, but throwing someone’s trauma around like that and making light of it… I wouldn’t do that to ANYONE no matter what they did to me. And it’s more disappointing than infuriating. Like these two used to be so very close and Brooke always seems to be finding a way to cut deep and hurt her, which she thinks is okay because Peyton hurt her first. It’s this very toxic way of viewing things and she puts so much energy into it when she could just be ignoring Peyton altogether.

Honestly, this season of brooke is needed. It shows her character flaws and that shes not perfect and it shows her need for character growth. This season makes it better to see how she grows from all from all of this.

exactly, THERES NO EXCUSE FOR HER ACTIONS AND WORDS. This season is needed for brooke, this is her reality check season like she needs to look at herself and realize she has things to fix

peyton is so infuriating to me. i’ve never sided with her so it’ll be interesting to watch this season again since it’s maybe the one i watch least due to how annoyed i get with her and lucas. i’m glad to be going over it again though, maybe i’ll pick up on some things i hadn’t in the past or have some changes in opinion.

i definitely agree. i didn’t dislike her in this season or anything because she wasn’t the one at fault for peyton being a big homewrecker, but i do think it was pretty smart of them to have her act out more than we’ve previously seen. it really did set up for some beautiful character development.

There is absolutely no EXCUSE for brooke actions! So what your best friend told you she was in love with a guy that she’s been in love with and she was a kid! It’s one thing to be petty but to actually try to hurt somebody with things that they’re still trying to recover from is insane! She took it a bit far which Upset me going foward in this season! All because of a guy! Peyton when through so much and for her to make fun of her traumas is disappointing! I’m glad Peyton had Lucas at least to be there for her through it all!

Exactly, this is like a wake up call for brooke this season. She needs a reality check and remember this isn't who she needs to be or needs to do. This season really shows that she had personally issues to work on and not reflect them on peyton. Peyton has issues she has to work on and brooke needs to see that she deserved better than lucas and this season really shows how pain can make someone cruel and grief can turn someone to a passive aggressive person which is why I like how this season plays her out cuz of how she grows from it
