Yess totally agree!! S4 has really been a masterclass, of nina's acting... But also a masterclass for plot buildup, mythology buildup, and a villain buildup.....its also crazy how silas could replicate the phone ringing voice..creepy as hell

Thanks Sofie for the episode reaction! This episode yet again was a mind-blowing saga of emotions. Nina Dobrev is a brilliant performer and more so in heart breaking scenes.

TVD is very popular but in my opinion is not given the credit it should have. Rarely I encountered a show that has a cast of so many great actors, Nina is spectacular and to reach that depth you have to be emotionally very mature, and she was just in her twenty's here, mind blowing. But also I very rarely find a show capable to connect emotionally with the audience the way TVD does, how they explore emotions, psychology issues, traumas, life experiences we can all relate to, disguised in the most clever allegories. It build it's own world of lore and it's own rules, revealing everything piece by piece across the seasons like a giant jigsaw puzzle and everything feel logical, satisfying and connect everything and everybody in the most cohering and natural way. The details that went into it are astonishing to me. I've never came across with a TV show so complex, compelling, intelligent, well acted and hugely enjoyable at the same time, like this one, ever.

One more mind blowing performance from Nina take a bow girl 👏🏼👏🏼💯 I reacted same as u the first time I watched this I was like NOOO Damon didn’t just do this can’t be real. Damon doing this makes it even more believable, Real and scary this was indeed a brilliant idea from Damon and then Stefan helping her cope with it was just beautiful. Caroline talking to Liz was so emotional always gets me emotional as well I love their relationship so much.

I think it was Liz in the beginning, when the phone was ringing as well, it was her. But once Caroline went to see Bonnie at the door, Silas knocked out Liz.

Excellent episode! To be honest, I don't really like the emotionless Elena. Yes, it was funny in some moments and Nina just perfectly showed all the emotions and differences between Katherine and the "evil" Elena... But it's hard for me to see the always compassionate and selfless Elena like this. The scene when Elena turning it on was amazing. I also had goosebumps all over my body and tears in my eyes. 😭 Powerful... It was fun watching Stefan and Damon at the beginning of the episode. Their attempts to restore Elena's feelings were like when small children break a toy or an expensive thing and try to fix it in all possible ways before their parents notice it. 🤣 I was really scared for Liz. If I was sure about Matt that Damon wouldn't kill him, I wasn't so sure about Liz. Remembering what the writers had done to Jenna, Alaric, and Jeremy, I was ready for anything. And thank God everything went well. I can't wait for you to see Silas ' real face, too. 😄 Sofie, great reaction! I'm sorry that I didn't write comments for a long time. Damon, the master of duplicity, he knew that grief was the key emotion to get Elena back. So just like the 60s dance, he pulled what he did with Bonnie in faking a death, and only two people were in on it again, Him and Matt. Stefan by his own reaction didn't know about the plan, he had to sell it being real again. He knows Elena and with his own personal experience, after all she "hated" him for killing Jeremy. Death is what caused her to turn off her emotions, it was the only thing that would force her to turn them back on.

Same honestly and I find myself repeatedly googling for "Shows like TVD" but I've seen everything and still nothing to calm my addiction lmao. It's the soundtrack and the music scores for me that really draw me into the story. Combined with the flawless acting, there's really nothing like it. It's the only show I've been able to watch over and over and not get bored. I know everything that's going to happen but every time I rewatch it's like for the first time. It's just a shame because I really need something new to watch but new shows never give me the same feeling I get while watching TVD. I'm just never satisfied. If anyone finds anything remotely similar (even a movie) let me know lol

Yeah it was Liz in the beginning. Silas said "she's right where you left her" when Caroline went to answer the door. So it was definitely her in the beginning.

Love that it was Matt that brought Elenas humanity back. It’s sooo in line with her character as Elena. She cares so deeply about him. I’m not shocked, over anyone it was him.
