You know Everyone was rooting for Ian Somerhalder to play Christian Grey character in Fifty Shades of Grey but he didn't take the role maybe. I think he would've made a better Christian Grey 100%👌

Gokul

When I first saw klaus faceoff with silas, I thought silas was about to get rekt...but damn he jist legit owned klaus lol

Gokul

He is not physically stringer than klaus, and being the first immortal doesn't automatically make him stronger, age only matters if you are a vampire, and silas is not a vampire

Patpet

This episode is another important one. Now you know the entire Damon and Lexi story, well almost....there is another important piece of information missing, why Damon had his humanity off? What happen to him so traumatic that to cope with it e had to turn the switch off?And that is the reason why he came into town in the present day with his humanity on a dimmer switch. Yep he is pretty impossible to resist. I have no idea how he does it but put a stone next to Ian and he manages to have chemistry with that one too. And I've never seen that happening again with any other actor.

Patpet

No unfortunatelly the writer didn't approve of him. And that was the biggest casting mistake in history, choosing that cold fish bad actor over of Mr Ian sex on legs, let us all wonder how good it could have been.

Muhammad Hassan

I know but he is 2000 years old witch I think that means something right?🤭 His only strength is that can mess up with your brain so strength doesn't matter if you don't use your brain so Klaus can't do anything to Silas

Patpet

May I add Sofie that your face when Damon and Lexi kissed was priceless 😂😂😂

Muhammad Hassan

I know but maybe Ian wanted to continue Vampire Diaries because if he had been cast as Christian Grey he would've missed some episodes of Vampire Diaries 💯 and I agree he would've definitely be better as Christian Grey his facecut his eyes Jawline body etc everything was perfect for that character

Damon and Elena Raodtrip #6 New York. This is one of my favorite episodes of the series. The music, the coordination of the flashbacks with the present day. Seeing Damon and Elena feeding together and having fun, like from the Frat Party episode. Elena flirty smile at Damon when he says about her getting her hot new haircut. Rebekah slamming that guy when he tried to touch her hair. The team up with Stefan, Klaus, and Caroline is great. Klaus at the end forcing Caroline to change her perspective about terrible people even. It's like the perfect episode. It's also just a great fun episode two episodes removed from the emotional Jeremy being Dead episode, just something that was needed really. Also your face when you saw Damon starting to make his move on Lexi was priceless.

Andrea Dcosta

When Damon kissed Lexi, your reaction was hilarious 😂 I was surprised too when I first saw this, I was like no way he didn’t turn his humanity on at that point. Also, we get to know he turned his humanity off but why that’s interesting. Joseph Morgan acts so well when Silas stabs him he’s just brilliant. So, Silas has all he needs that’s not a good thing – except the cure. I love Klaus and Caroline scenes with them both together just makes me happyy Also, yes Damon’s hair in the flashbacks this episode is soo sexy damm and specially the starting shot of him covered in blood when he’s the serial killer in 1977 he’s just superr hot 🥵 ❤️❤️ And Klaus too this episode looked HOT 😻

Patpet

No no Ian wanted to do it. And he had m no problems about it, the shooting was just during season 8 of TVD, they even play with that idea....It wasn't due to him, he didn't get the part, unfortunatelly, was silly E.L. James fault.

Patpet

I absolutelly adore the opening of the episode, it's a piece of genius, "you are that serial killer the son of Sam...." " No the son of Giuseppe...but close enough" while the Talking Heads song is playing "...psyco killer qu'est-ce que c'est?..." I don't know who among the writers though about this but whom ever it was, he or she has a truly wicked, first rate dark (in the best way) sense of humor. David Berkowitz called "The son of Sam" was a real serial killer, terrorising New York in 1977. The idea of incorporating Damon story going around with his humanity off killing people at the same time of this real event happened, it's a stroke of genius.

I Am Not Chamari

One of my all-time favorite episodes! Something that was quite annoying for me however, was when Elena was acting like she played Damon in the end. If it wasn't for Rebekah, Damon would have outplayed her.. Perhaps he miscalculated by not counting for Rebekah teaming up with Elena, but Elena certainly didn't play him. The total frustration he has with them having his car is also hilarious. Silas is a Big Bad, with a simple goal. The lengths he can go to, to achieve his goal, is what makes him an outstanding villain. The fact that we don't even know what Silas looks like either - woo! Still so much to learn!

SoFieReacts

Muhammad Hassan, i still don’t understand how Silas is not a vampire when he’s immortal and drinks blood. Plus didn’t he say to Bonnie on the island “ silas is a vampire, he can’t be a vampire and a witch in the same time”

Muhammad Hassan

SoFieReacts, Silas isn't completely a vampire he just needs blood to function he doesn't have that compulsion and fangs and all he is just immortal and he can get in to people's head that's his strength and he wants the cure because when he will take the cure he will become Human and mortal witch like Bonnie and he wants to destroy the other side so he can die and pass on and reunite with his one true love who was Human and has passed on and doesn't have to stuck on the other side . It is very complicated😂😂 but hope you understand.

Gokul

@SoFieReacts its confusing to almost everyone, silas is just an immortal, and every immortal requires blood to survive, I dont know why shane referred to him as vampire, silas doesn't have superspeed, he doesn't have fangs, and vervain doesn't affect him......so he's actually not a vampire

I made a comment on Sofie's reaction to 3x04 that I think you may find interesting concerning the Necklace, and just how well they connected everything together.

Patpet

I'll check it as soon as I 'm back home. Thanks mate.

Keith Engel

Well, it doesn't matter, the comment was removed and deleted. I just checked. If you have reddit my user name over there is Jaconkin423.

I've read it. I agree with everything you wrote perfectly, the point really is in the fact of who never lies and who does it for self serving motives, honesty against manipulation, that ultimately lead to trust who is most trustworthy.

Jay zay

@SofieReacts Shane explained that blood is the essence of life or immortality so basically every immortal needs blood to survive.

Very interesting, I share your view on things, precisely. But I mean it is pretty obvious, what then writers were doing and how smartly they did it. I guess catching all those brilliant fine details in the plot, is not for everybody. I always though this show is like an iceberg, with all the layers of ice, you see only the part that is over the water, but underneath there is the biggest part in need to be decipher and can be decipher only if you have the tools for it.

Keith Engel

No it's a puzzle that was cleverly done, but they left enough of the pieces there for you to connect them if you are paying close enough attention to his character and his history. The one thing they don't do is come out and state this explicitly concerning Stefan, but it's all laid out for you to see. It's difficult to see Stefan in the same light when you come to this realization. I understand his character and his arc as it were through out the story. Difficult to actually like Stelena. It's what makes Stefan journey better in the end once you truly understand his character and what was wrong with it. This is the actual first post in that thread. I honestly think the show is done from Stefan's perspective in many cases also, it's why none of this explicitly stated, because he doesn't view himself this way. Edit: Nevermind maybe you saw both of my posts on the topic.

Keith Engel

I am rewatching the season 3 reactions right now and I'm at the episode where Stefan tries to drive Elena off the Wickory Bridge. Here goes my comment for that. The Trauma Bond Trauma bonding is similar to Stockholm Syndrome, in which people held captive come to have feelings of trust or even affection for the very people who captured and held them against their will. This type of survival strategy can also occur in a relationship. It is called trauma bonding, and it can occur when a person is in a relationship with a narcissist. Within a trauma bond, the narcissist's partner—who often has codependency issues—first feels loved and cared for. However, this begins to erode over time, and the emotional, mental, and sometimes physical abuse takes over the relationship. The codependent understands the change, but not why it is occurring. They believe they just need to understand what they are doing wrong in order to bring back the loving part of the relationship. If they do manage to break free, all the narcissist has to do is go back to that courtship phase to win them back. The more the codependent reaches out to the narcissist for love, recognition, and approval, the more the trauma bond is strengthened. This also means the codependent will stay in the relationship when the abuse escalates, creating a destructive cycle. And what does Stefan do shortly after this, oh that's right, tries to win Elena by putting on his good guy act again to court her back. Elena is basically Trauma Bonded with Stefan, this solidifies the bond further all of sudden because she ignores the trauma Stefan just put her through here later, and when she makes her choice, it's about the past, and how she made him feel, not about the present.

Connie Kay

I love your reactions, Sofie.🥰

Loved By You

He really told Elena. He’s gunna break her neck to give her the cure. Damon doesn’t believe in consent lol. Yikes.

Loved By You

Sophie, your so good hearted. I love that.

Loved By You

I still can’t he would kill her KNOWING what she meant to Stefan.

Patpet

He couldn't care he had his humanity off, and his humanity on a dimmer switch, when he arrived in town in season one, plus she kept them apart, and she isn't Stefan....you know why he had his humanity off, don't you? You know he needed Stefan not Lexi and that is another reason for Damon to resent her and his brother. She is applying a cure without knowing the hillness....and what she is doing is the last thing Damon needed.
