That was a great reaction, i really enjoyed it. You know for a really old and savage vampire Angel is very awkward around women. The episode felt like it didn’t fit in the series storyline, it feels like an interlude. It will be interesting to see what comes next. You did say something about it was different because the evil came from people. Every film I’ve seen that ‘features’ obvious demonic evil keeps the effect local. Like Buffy has definite evil vampires but they seem to stay around Sunnyvale. The Exorcist, Constantine and lots of others seem to be very intense but also ‘small’. I think evil perpetrated by humans is much bigger, it’s more psychological, more ghastly. A Jesuit priest said ‘the Devil is a trickster, a Liar’, you said what they did was twisted, absolutely yes! I wonder who or what caused them (not made them) to do it? I dunno. It seems to me that, when people are faced with true evil they often don’t recognize it, or believe it. I think what those two kids were doing was pure evil. Vampires attack people just to keep existing, but what the kids were doing was just to avoid grief and loneliness. Somehow that seems worse. Just my 2 cents.
