Return to the Casino part 2.
Cassie tapped her fingers against the steering wheel. “Just where the hell is she?” She pulled out her phone. “I shouldn’t have left Jamine in there. I think something has happened to her.”
Cassie sighed, eventually pushing the door open, and looked at the casino looming over her. “I guess heading back in there and looking around for a few minutes wouldn’t hurt. I just go and drag her out. I am sure they won’t have an issue with me going in there if I don’t plan on playing.” She slid her hands into her pockets as she walked up to the doors. “Ugh, I hate this place.”
She scanned her surroundings as she entered the building. “Okay, if I know Jamie, she will have her butt glued to one of the slot machines.” She snorted. “There can’t be that many places around here to check, right?”
One of the playboy bunnies walked up to Cassie. “Hello, ma’am. Are you here to play?” Her boobs jiggled about. “We have many games, from slots to poker. Try your luck, and you may walk out a winner today.”
“Sorry, I am just looking for a friend. I have to make sure they don’t throw their life away.”
The lady looked at Cassie as if she was crazy. “Oh? People come here to have fun. You really shouldn’t deny them that chance. Especially if they could win big money!” She jumped up with her hands flying into the air and her boobs bouncing up and down.
“Umm, but I know my friend. She won’t win big money, she will spend everything. Maybe even the deed to her house. Now, please, I have to find her before it’s too late.”
The lady giggled. “Oh, don’t worry. We would never take such a form of payment.”
“Oh, thank god.”
“But if your friend has indeed fallen on hard times, maybe she is. . . hmm. . .” The exotic woman tapped her finger on her chin. “Ahh, well. Who knows. She would be happy either way.”
“Wait? What are you talking about?”
The playboy bunny shrugged. “I don’t know? What am I talking about? Sorry, but unless you want to play a game, I can’t help. I am not umm. . . you know. I can’t help find people.” She giggled. “It is against the policies of this place.”
Cassie narrowed her green eyes. “That is a weird policy.”
“Well, we have some weird rules.” She patted Cassie on the shoulder. “Now go enjoy a game. You don’t want to be a nosy Bessie, do you?” She giggled. “Nosy Bessie’s end up in trouble.” The playboy bunny turned around. “Now, please go and enjoy yourself, honey.”
Cassie crossed her arms as the woman walked away. “Looking for my friend is being nosy? What is wrong with this place?” She looked around. “I know they want people to spend money, but sheesh. I think I am going to the manager about this. That woman was just. . . ughhh.”
Cassie made her way across the floor and up a golden staircase. She then turned, walked down a hallway, and stepped into a room that she assumed was the manager’s office. “Hello?” She looked around. “I am looking to speak to the owner of this establishment. I have some choice words about. . .” She slowly walked into the center of the room, noticing how empty the place was. “Anyone here?” She grabbed a bottle of what appeared to be perfume off the table. “What is going on around here?”
“Hey, you aren’t supposed to be back here!” A man in a suit opened a door. “Who let you in here!”
Cassie set the bottle down. “I am looking for the man who runs this place.”
“You found him. But you should know better than to go poking about in the employee section of a business establishment.” He snatched the perfume bottle off the table and tucked it into his pocket. “You could get into a lot of trouble for this.”
She snorted. “Well, I am looking for my friend. She has a bit of a gambling addiction, and I want to make sure she doesn’t get into debt.”
“Hmm, you sound like a good friend.”
“Ya. I love Jamie to death, but she just can’t stop playing the slots. Even if she keeps losing and losing she won’t stop.” Cassie shook her head. “I swear, one of these days, she is going to get into a lot of trouble.”
The man nodded his head. “Yes. People with gambling additions can be a bit. . . hard to deal with. I see them all the time in my casino. I have had to find creative ways to help them.”
“What do you mean?”
“Oh, don’t worry. I am sure your friend is working off their debt right now.” He patted Cassie on her shoulder. “Just go home. You will probably hear from them in a few weeks.”
“Weeks! I. . . what the hell did you do to them!”
He arched an eyebrow. “Look, we are taking good care of your friend. You don’t need to worry.”
