Portrait drawing replay: Bethan (Patreon)

Hi everybody,

This recording has taken a little longer to process as we're experimenting with different ways to improve the quality of both the live online life class broadcasts and these recorded sessions. You should find that this session is recorded at a higher resolution than previous sessions - something we hope to be able to improve further over coming weeks. We've also included an alternative cut of the 2nd long pose, optimised for vertical viewing on tablets and phones. Do let us know if you have any feedback to share!

This video is a recording of a live Zoom portrait session, aired on 13th Sept 2023. It is shared here so that you can catch up and draw from the session if you missed it, or continue to work on a portrait if you attended live. As this is a recording of a live Zoom session the quality is limited by Zoom and will be a lower resolution than our our tutored sessions which are recorded locally and undergo more rigorous processing before their release. About the model

• Bethan Harris graduated from Newcastle University in 2022. Her practice is informed by aspects of the natural environment, transforming them into imaginary drawn landscapes through use of vivid colours and intricate mark making. She is currently staying at the Mawddach Residency where she Bethan will be working in direct response to the landscape, with particular focus on aspects of the environment that are hard to distinguish and describe; attempting to capture this in the drawn mark.
