Vegas Selfies & Musings 🪞 (Patreon)

Ok first things first – I blame this bath tub for 100% of my hyper fixation on getting a claw foot tub for the studio back home. We didn't even fill it up with water but I am OBSESSED with the posing possibilities this tub offered. 

Vegas was such a trip, I'm still reeling from the magic of that week. This selfie session definitely felt like a challenge – I was incredibly tired, burnt out, and my camera was acting up and giving me grief during the session. 

I was struggling with all kinds of body image feels during the shoot, and really had to lean into body neutrality and investigating my thoughts as they arouse.

Just a reminder that this work never ends, and that no matter how much you can be kind and gentle with your bod, those lil inherited beliefs have a way of poking their head out of the grave you buried them in. God damn zombie body image issues!

I'm glad I powered through and took time to be soft and gentle with myself throughout – because I do love how the photos came out. And even though I am still learning to love some of them, I know that with time I will just come to appreciate and love them even more.
