Time for a much overdue Dino Run 2 dev update, and a special treat for all patrons - jump to the end of the post if you just want the treat :)

LEVEL GENERATION

We've added lots of new placeholder terrain chunks, like waterfalls, ponds, caves, etc.  We feel the level generator is almost ready to start outputting levels that we can use in the playable game, which is very cool:

DINO CONTROL

We're fiddling with the exact control of the dino in a playable context.  This video is a little wonky (jump is too extreme), but we've found some new parameters recently that make it feel much more natural:

Full video (kindly ignore the music, it's not from the game, just the physics coder's computer): https://v.kickstarter.com/1630180391_a804b2934ffbf9c39b55ee5c5e62d5c77ed484fc/assets/034/628/771/bfc75977ffbfc9a39d5da539817b15b6_h264_high.mp4

ANIMATION

This video shows 2 important states in action - SPEED and ANGLE, working in tandem (real-time in Unity).  The dino is also dynamically colored via a shader, so we can adjust any color of the raptor at any time.

TREAT FOR ALL PATRONS

We recently published a new game called TEMPLE OF SNEK, a puzzle dungeon adventure starring an enormous hungry snake.  If you'd like a Steam key for it, DM me.

That's all for now, thanks for the continued support!
