Roland JX3P with the Retroaktiv PG-2K Controller and KIWI mod // first look (Patreon)

I've got so much grief recently I decided to put a little pre-amble on this.. Hopefully it hits the mark :)

The digital vs Analog videos seem to get some folks really worked up - I've decided to approach them as if they're a good mate, slightly drunk, trying to wind me up in the pub. It makes dealing with them so much easier. A bit of banter... take it with a pinch of salt, and enjoy the to-ing and fro-ing. ... not sure they see it that way, but it relieves the stress :)

Anyway.. turns out the KIWI 3P mod is a pita if you don't have an overlay or a controller to work with. There's just so much in it and so little feedback from the synth itself that you'd be forever diving into manuals, flow charts and spreadsheets if its not your main synth.  

BUT with this controller its a lovely addition ... although I still might put the old chip back in and ue the controller without all the additions. It still a great combination.... maybe I should've said that in the video!!
