Studio Electronics SE-1X // first look (Patreon)

This is the second SE-1 I've owned.  I had one before I bought the Minimoog, and didn't need both.  Picked this one up for the review... all thanks to you! As I always say, I buy I sell, and lose a bit with each transaction!

It's a great sounding unit that was everywhere in the 90s.  Hip hop producers over it for the BASS!! and TV/Film/media producers loved it for the tone, and presets - always useful for those eternal edits!

I just thought that with the new 2022 revision of the Minimoog being over £5k there are cheaper options to get that tone.  Sure there are Behringer offerings, but neither has MIDI control of parameters, editor, librarian, presets etc.. and this comes in a handy rack mount module.

They've been doing this for over 30 years, so know their stuff at SE.  Worth a look
