I've got a few hydrasynths here on lawn that have to go back soon, so I'm desperately trying to think of interesting things to do with them. They have been out for 3 years so I think pretty much everything that can be said has been said.

... except for some perspective.

So I'm looking at where they fit within the price range and in general as a digital synth in an analog renaissance.

Here's a short one looking at how the filters stack up with some classics.

I use a couple of really simple tones in an attempt to isolate the differences as being caused by the filters - not the synth architecture, oscillators or unique aspects.. Just a simple filter sweep and a basic pad. I'll post the results here in a few weeks - do you dare to guess? Haha.. I wouldn't!!
