I’ve started putting together the first of my modular series today.. the first being 5 STEPS to designing your first modular.

Trying to focus into a process is hard when you’ve got to know everything before you decide anything!

Here’s what I’ve put together so far.. not plugged in yet, trying to figure where to put everything.

I notice you have both the Bloom and the Steppy for sequencing. Is there any special reason for that, or was it just to give you the max options for generating multiple sequences?

Max options plus it was a cheeky offer on eBay. I’m not sure how it’s going to fit in yet. The idea is to have some randomly created notes using a steady rhythm using a S&H or something plus a quantiser to produce the pitch then the steppy for the rhythm. Got a bit carried away. I’m definitely going to say something about sequencers, maybe an episode on its own. I’ve also picked up the Erica sequential switch because it was almost half price - no idea what I’m goi g to do with it yet, maybe just sell it!! And put another cheeky offer on a Rene. I’m thinking about the different types (gate and/or pitch). What’s best, what do you need etc. More for the channel than for me. As I’m make the decisions for myself I’ll try to demo some of the permutations. Then sell on what I don’t use. ... hence the Patreon page!! :) H E L P. M E .!!!

I got the Erica Sequential switch too because of the price (Mattech?). I’ve used it with multiple inputs as the MiniBrute patch bay can output from saw, square, triangle, noise and Osc2 all at once it sounds like it would be really useful switched into random mode with quantised input.
