A final look at envelopes here with some additional functions such as DAHSR envelopes, triggering and looping options an a look at the ARP Odyssey AR and ADSR.. hopefully giving you all the info you need to tackle any envelope type you might come across.   Having said the weird and extremely flexible 3rd envelope/LFO on the TAL Noisemaker we've already encountered probably helped a lot!

I would really like to see usage of auxiliary envelope from ,say, REV 2 on something, more exotic, maybe reverb or other effect... or lfo intensity. Also, ppl realy underestimate negative values of envelopes and lfos - but mostly multi complex Roland-style staged envelopes.

I was thinking about doing one on modulation. One example I’ve been considering for this is LFO speed modulated by a loopable envelope. Something I used to do on my Pro8 for some randomness - but it could never quite get as fine control as I wanted.

I wonder though, how do you re-set cycle of an envelope if there is no cycling option (again I will use aux envelope example from REV 2) - how can looping be achieved? Maybe with an lfo controlling aux envelope that controls another lfo speed? I forgot there is env repeat function .

That’s why the different specs of each synth is different and why something like the Sub 37 is so good. It has looping envelopes that can be synced to the arp/Seq that can also be reset with key presses. But once you get into deep modulation you’re normally entering modular territory. It’s normally easier if your doing it in a track to simply program in as automation or use LFO tools etc.
