Catastie Day 3: Specialties
It's lunchtime, so we have come to the restaurant district.
It seems like every place is crowded at this time.
Now, what kind of cuisine should I have?

"Do any of you have any requests for the food?"

"No, not particularly. It's my first time in Catastie."

"I'm not familiar with famous dishes from each country, either. I'll leave it to you, Lady Lily."

"As an adventurer, I can eat most dishes."

"If I had to say, please avoid anything with a strong smell. It could hinder our escort duties."

Everyone seemed to be thinking about various things.
But then, I don't know which restaurant to choose.
I've tried the Darshe Principality's cuisine, and that was unique in its own way.
I haven't tried it myself, but I wonder if it's similar to Mexican cuisine from my previous life?
It was written in the Goddess's book, after all.
If that's the case, then what piques my interest is...

"Shall we try the cuisine of the Republic of Moridesha? It might be a bit spicy, though."

The Republic of Moridesha.
It's located southeast across the sea and is said to be a very hot and humid country.
In that country, spice cultivation is thriving, producing a wide variety of spices.

Yes, it's spicy cuisine.
What I mean is... curry.
Not just any curry, but something like keema curry, but it's still curry.

In my previous life, I couldn't eat spicy food much because my body was weak.
I haven't eaten curry since I got sick.
I never thought I'd be able to eat it in this world.

Once decided, I tried to find a restaurant serving Moridesha cuisine... but I couldn't find one.
I thought there would be one in this city.

"Lady Lily, isn't that the restaurant you were looking for?"

"Oh, it seems so. Let's go there."

The restaurant was located away from the center of the restaurant district.
Still, even considering that, there weren't many customers.
What's going on?
Maybe I'll understand if I ask the staff inside.

"Welcome!"

"There are five of us. Do you have seats available? Also, is it okay to bring a familiar?"

"It's okay. As you can see, it's not too crowded."

Hmm, isn't it strange for the staff to say it's not crowded?
It's good from my perspective, but hmm.

Anyway, we sat down and placed our orders.
According to the waiter, it was something similar keema curry, after all.
However, the problem here was the spiciness.
It seems they adjust it according to the amount of spices, but depending on the quantity, it can be quite spicy.
I don't have much resistance to spicy food, so I chose the mildest option, but the others ordered a medium level.
...I hope they'll be okay.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, this is Jais. Please enjoy it with the bread."

Jais is the name of the dish, similar to keema curry.
Now, let's take a bite...
Hmm, it's spicy after all.
Not overwhelmingly so, but it has a lingering spiciness.
I like it, but I wonder if everyone else is okay?

"Spicy!?"

"~!?"

"This is considered medium~!?"

"... I underestimated it."

It seems it's still spicy.
The reason this restaurant isn't very busy is because of this spiciness.
Some people love it, but others really can't handle it.
In fact, many people order a spicier dish than they can handle and end up not finishing it.
Everyone managed to eat it with determination, but I hope they'll be okay later.
Oh, they also had a lassi-like drink, which was delicious too.
