Catastie Day 2: Visit to the Embassy of the Darshe Principality
After enjoying a delicious meal, the next plan was to visit the embassy of the Darshe Principality.
It wouldn't be appropriate to go there in casual attire, so we decided to return to the inn to change.
Among the clothes given by the Goddess, there was also a dress.
Let's change into that.

Unlike the Wildcat Claws members who don't need to change for their escort duty, it took a little bit of time for me and Alizée to change, especially with the makeup.
I thought I could manage without makeup, but apparently, that's not acceptable.
Since I don't know how to apply makeup, I asked Alizée to do it for me.
I should have learned from Tanya beforehand.

Anyway, once we finished changing, we got on a carriage and headed to the embassy.
It seems it would be rude to walk there.
Even now, it's customary to use carriages in ceremonial situations, so magic vehicles aren’t truly a staple in life just yet.
Depending on the situation, magic vehicles might be acceptable, but since this is our first visit to the embassy, we must adhere to etiquette and use a carriage.
This carriage was also provided by the Darshe Principality's embassy, and even while riding, I hardly felt any bumps, and the sofa was soft.
They must be showcasing their technological superiority even in such places.
But that doesn't concern me.

"Well, it's coming into view now. That's the embassy of the Darshe Principality."

"That's..."

The coachman called out, so I looked out the window and saw a building with a completely different architectural style from the others on the main street corner.
Buildings in this country are usually made of stone and plaster, but the Darshe Principality's embassy was entirely wooden.
A wooden, cozy-looking building... sounds nice, but I wonder if it's prone to rotting in the rain.
Anyway, if we were approaching the embassy, I need to straighten up.

"Well, ladies. We have arrived at the embassy of the Darshe Principality."

"Yes."

We had the carriage parked in front of the embassy's entrance, and we each disembarked in turn.
The embassy seemed well-prepared for our arrival, as servants in matching attire greeted us.
Among them was a woman in an exceptionally luxurious dress.
Her hair was black, her skin was pale, and her eyes were a vivid crimson, like fresh blood.
I heard that people from the Darshe Principality are not human, and it seems to be true.

"Welcome, I am the Darshe Principality's ambassador, Ditta. I am a Vampire. Please, allow me to extend my greetings."

"It is an honor to receive your greeting. I am Alizée, a representative of the Vardmoi Trade Guild. I am a Cat Beastkin. And this is Lady Lily, the merchant I am representing. She is an Elf."

"I am pleased to meet you, Lady Lily. I look forward to working with you in the future."

After the greetings, I curtsied gracefully while spreading out my skirt.
Not bad for an improvised attempt, right?

"Hmm. Is that how you bow in this country?"

"Is it different in the Darshe Principality?"

"The Darshe Principality is divided into seven duchies, and it’s different from the Vampire duchy’s curtsy. In this country, we cannot wear a cloak in formal occasions, but in Vampire formal occasions, we wear a waist-length cloak. And, we bend our waist to show the inside of the cloak."

I see.
Customs vary from place to place.
I've learned something new.
