So... I only had to shift one face of my rack and pinion assembly 3mm, and reprint the thing for it to work a zillion times better than it did the other day in my latest video. O_o New video to come tomorrow.

My error was that once I mounted the pinion gear to the servo horn... it pushed everything out the width of the horn (about 3mm) which I hadn't accounted for in the rest of the design... and if you've seen the inside of the overall mechanism, there isn't much wiggle room for such play.

Once I accounted for these 3 rogue millimeters and reprinted the part, everything just worked. With some more small tweaks here and there to make the overall design of the rack and pinion more solid (literally, less bendy), I'm thinking it'll be the way to go for now.

AND FINALLY, I will be able to embark on the final challenge of Noodle's new feet: the hydraulic system. THIS MEANS DROOL, PEOPLE!

The last frontier of this strange engineering journey is the drippy stepper driven thing that will allow noodle to expel fluid upon an individual he likes... or doesn't like.

Since there are considerably less moving parts involved with this system, it's quite likely Noodle will have new feet by the end of the month. Fuck yeah.
