The Season of Spice is Here (Patreon)

It's Fall now! What is everyones favorite way to get into the season changing mood?

As a child, my mom use to take me to the local cider mill in Michigan to get a dozen fresh cinnamon donuts and unfiltered cider... SO - the tradition has since followed that on the first of October, I seek out some vestige of pumpkin-spice donuts and eat them like a monster.

Tonight- I've invited my friends over for "Hocus Pocus" and "Beetlejuice" - because those both seem to be fun staples for amping up the spooky spirit.

I hope however you're getting into the slow decay and eventual "death" of 2019- you're enjoying it!

WHAT HAS SARAH BEEN DOING

(1) Working on NoodleFeet's new leg design until it works at least as good as the original design...::cries::

Noodle's legs each got an extra motor and range of motion to help with the endeavor of walking. I believe there is a lot more potential in doing this, but it is going to take a bit of patience... trial and error... and research before I (a non-engineer) dial it in. I'm getting closer, but I'm still running into issues that are preventing me from wiring him up and making him wiggle.

(2) Learning a New Langue

What? yeah. I'm learning Japanese. Why? Because at this point in time I need to be able to communicate with peers, fellow artist, and friends better... and it will be helpful if I wish to spend some extended time in Tokyo for an artist residency or something similar in the future.

(3) Catching up on Backlogged video editing

I have SO MUCH video content that needs to be addressed, published, and swept from my conscience. I'm taking it on a little bit at a time, but it takes twice as much effort and motivation to get it done. In any case, there will be some new-old videos coming out from cool events that really aught to be documented =D Most of which have to do with Noodle and his adventures from last year. Important stuff!

FINALLY...

Your support got me through my trip to Linz for the Ars Electronica festival last month! THANK YOU!!!!! With your help I was able to eat, commute, and have a beer in the international terminal. <3 You also helped me afford some extra comfort items that made packing a little less hellacious. 

Also, I have those Noodle stickers to get out to you soon!!! I didn't forget.

Anyhow. I'm going to dive back into my work for a bit more this morning. I'm currently assembling another revision of Noodle's new leg- this time with racks and pinions for linear motion instead of pulleys. Hopefully it comes together in a way that I can document and show you all in the near future.
